6 reasons why it is too expensive to be poor

🍑 Predatory lending - mostly banks don't want to lend money to people with no or bad credit history so poor people tend to borrow in loan sharks for easier approvals but with higher interest.

🍊Skipping medicines and consultation - medicines are mostly paid in cash and can consume a large percentage of daily wage. Some poor people have no insurances that can cover consultation costs.

🍈Lack of emergency savings - poor people live paycheck to paycheck and can barely save for emergencies. If they were hit by 1 emergency they tend to borrow money for the cost of it.

🍓Not investing - Most poor people can't invest due to the high cost of living and not investing make it even worse due to inflation.

🥝Can't pay on time - Delayed payments on bills, rent or mortgages might lead to penalties, eviction or foreclosures.

🍅Unable to maximize discounts - Buying in bulk can save lots of cash due to discounts. There are also discounts or rebates using credit cards that can help reduce consumer expenses.

Just a friendly tip from me as a loan officer: I strongly recommend avoiding unregistered online lending apps and websites.

For your safety and peace of mind, stick to authorized banks like EastWest Bank, Security Bank, CTBC Bank, etc.

There are many trusted loan officers online, but always be careful and mindful who you trust before taking any risks. 😉

Meet Sir Ethan (not his real name 😉).

Nag-apply siya last August 26 (Tue), and by August 28 (Thu), approved na agad! 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀! ✅

💼 𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬: 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 (𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲)

Meet Ma’am Lia (not her real name for confidentiality 😉).

Her journey started with an EastWest Personal Loan application. After 3 banking days, lumabas ang status niya as Positive, meaning hindi favorable ang standing niya for approval.

The most important takeaway here is to manage your credit card wisely. Huwag puro minimum payment lang, that’s a trap. Respect your finances, pay responsibly, and protect your good credit standing so banks can continue supporting you when you need funds for emergencies, personal needs, or even business expansion. 🙏
