The Association of Superannuation Funds of Papua New Guinea proudly welcomes the launch of the new Hundred Kina (K100) banknote, featuring Sir Julius Chan, one of PNGโs founding fathers. This historic release, officiated by BPNG Governor Elizabeth Genia and Prime Minister James Marape, honours Sir Juliusโs lifelong commitment to building the nationโs financial foundations.
Beginning in 2026, the note will circulate as legal tender across PNG and play a role in strengthening the superannuation industry. More than currency, it is a symbol of legacy, resilience, and progress that generations will hold and remember.
ASFPNG congratulates all stakeholders for this milestone in our nationโs financial journey.
