Great news for Kiwi workers heading beyond the cell tower 🛰️

GetHomeSafe now works over Spark's satellite-to-mobile service, joining our existing support for One NZ. That means full safety functionality, check-ins, man-down alerts, journey plans, duress alerts and HomeSafe confirmations and more, works even when you're well off the grid.

Whether your team is on the farm, in the forestry block, out on conservation land or working remote infrastructure, there's no longer a reason to drop your safety processes when the cellular bars disappear.

No extra cost. No account changes. Just make sure you're on GetHomeSafe 4.27 or higher, with a compatible device and Spark plan.

GetHomeSafe now supports Spark's Starlink-powered satellite-to-mobile service, giving remote workers full safety functionality beyond cellular coverage.

It's been a few days since Boyd and Hamish packed up Booth A33, and with a bit of time to process everything, we wanted to share some highlights from what was a fantastic couple of days in Melbourne. Check out a few snippets from the event below 👇

The conversations were the real standout. So many organisations across such a huge variety of industries shared the real challenges they're navigating around lone, remote and travelling worker safety. Every story was a reminder that this stuff matters, and that there's no one-size-fits-all answer, which is exactly why we built GetHomeSafe the way we did. One app, multiple solutions.

The buzz around Satellite to Mobile. The feedback was incredible, and there's real excitement about how this is going to be a game-changer for keeping people safe in areas where traditional connectivity just doesn't reach. Watch this space 🛰️

Reconnecting with existing customers and partners who stopped by to say hi, and getting to meet so many of you in person for the first time. Putting faces to names never gets old.

Networking with the other amazing companies exhibiting. The WHS community is full of people genuinely passionate about keeping workers safe, and it's a privilege to be part of it.

And of course, Melbourne itself. What a city! ☕

The only regret? We were so busy at the booth that we didn't get to catch the speaker sessions, but there's always next time😄

Massive thanks to the Workplace Health & Safety Show team for putting on a fantastic event, and to every single person who stopped by Booth A33 to chat, demo, and share your stories. You're the reason we keep showing up.

Until next time, Melbourne 👋

And just like that, Day 1 at the Melbourne Workplace Health and Safety Show is done! 🙌 Check out the photos below for a peek at the day in action👇

Hamish and Boyd barely had a moment to sit down, between live demos of the GetHomeSafe system, answering questions, and hearing the real-world safety challenges so many of you are navigating with your lone, remote and travelling workers. Hamish even got pulled aside for an interview by the WHS Show team. The stories shared at Booth A33 today were a great reminder of why we do what we do!

There's something pretty special about watching someone's face light up mid-demo when they realise "oh, this would actually solve that problem we've been wrestling with for months." That happened more times than we could count today!

Massive thanks to everyone who stopped by Booth A33, your questions, stories, and challenges are exactly why we love showing up to events like this.

Round 2 kicks off tomorrow at 9am and runs through to 4pm. If you missed us today, come find us, bring your toughest lone worker safety puzzles, and let's see what we can do. One app, multiple solutions.

See you there! 👋

Hamish and Boyd have just finished setting up at the Melbourne Workplace Health and Safety Show and are ready to go for tomorrow! 👋

What a journey the last 24 hours has been…

Our stunning booth screens (which you can see in the timelapse) decided to take a little detour to Dunedin instead of Melbourne. Thankfully, the amazing crew at Air New Zealand Dunedin Airport got them onto a flight to Auckland last night, where our Head of Sales Hamish picked them up and personally couriered them across the Tasman on his flight to Melbourne this morning ✈️

Swing past Booth A33 over the next two days to check out those hard-earned screens and say hi 👋 We can't wait to show you how GetHomeSafe keeps your lone, remote and travelling workers safe. One app, multiple solutions.

See you there!

What is journey management and why does it matter?

For many workers, the most dangerous part of the job isn't the worksite, it's the drive between locations. Fatigue, remote conditions, vehicle issues, and communication gaps are all predictable risks, yet they often get far less attention than on-site hazards.

In our latest blog, see how we break down:
What journey management actually is (and the other terms you might know it by)
Why "offsite" doesn't mean "out of scope" when it comes to employer duties
What good journey management looks like at low, medium, and high risk levels
How to scale controls so they match the risk, without drowning your team in admin

Whether your workers are driving 15 minutes across town or six hours to a remote site, the question isn't whether journey management applies to you. It's whether your current approach matches your level of risk.

Who's checking in on your lone workers right now?

The nurse mid-home-visit. The engineer on a remote site. The worker on a 5 hour journey. Their safety doesn't pause between shifts, and neither should yours.

If you’re responsible for lone, remote or travelling workers we'd love to have a chat and show you how Get Home Safe is built to keep your workers safe.

Find us at the Melbourne WHSS next week on May 20th and 21st, booth A33.

Managing journeys shouldn’t mean juggling multiple systems, but for many teams, that’s still the reality.

That’s where GetHomeSafe comes in.

Our Journey Management solution is designed to make safety part of the workflow, not something extra to think about. From pre-start risk assessments through to real-time visibility in remote areas, it helps you stay on top of your people wherever work takes them.

Here’s how we’re helping teams stay ahead of risk:
Risk Assessments – Built into every journey before it starts
Remote Visibility – Stay connected, even out of coverage
Fatigue Management – Support safer decisions in real time
One Platform – Everything in one place, no switching between tools

And while Journey Management is a big focus, it’s just one part of how we help organisations manage lone, remote, and travelling worker safety.

If you’re attending WHSS Melbourne, swing by Booth A33, we’d love to show you how it all works and have a chat about your current worker safety concerns.

When your team is out in the field, the biggest question on your mind is always: "Are they safe?"

At GetHomeSafe, we believe that true peace of mind comes from having a reliable safety net in place, one that works seamlessly for your workers and gives you total visibility.

We’ve simplified remote safety so you can focus on the job, knowing that:
Check-ins are automated and easy for the team.
Supervisors have one clear view of every worker's status.
Real-time alerts keep everyone connected when it matters most.

Come have a chat with us in Melbourne to see how we’re making "peace of mind" the standard for remote, lone and travelling worker teams.

✅ Always Reachable: Constant connection for check-ins and alerts, even with zero bars.
✅ Seamless Protection: Your device automatically switches to satellite the moment a signal drops.
✅ No Extra Hardware: Use your existing compatible mobile device.

Stop worrying about being "out of range."
