Reading about the resurgence of redevelopment of heritage buildings in Auckland (Faradays, Queen's Arcade etc) and, in other places, about the demise of retail, it's amazing that good assets with such seemingly great potential can sit unloved and unoccupied. This heritage building in Dunedin, on one of the best corner sites on the main street, has been largely empty/underutilised for years.
Perhaps the new hospital, the new hotels, World Surf League events, the outdoors ... and inclusion of Dunedin as one of the world's top destinations to visit in 2027 (Lonely Planet Top 50) will encourage some interest/action!
