Reflecting on the whirlwind that was April

Amongst the busy weeks, deadlines, approvals and plenty of coffees, we managed to take a bit of time for ourselves with a South Island road trip alongside our dogs, something that was very needed after a hectic start to the year.

We also squeezed in a quick trip to Rotorua & Hamilton to celebrate my mum’s 60th birthday at Hobbiton during a lightning storm hitting, which was incredibly special.

While I was there, I was lucky enough to call in and visit three of my clients who had recently purchased homes in the area.

There’s something pretty surreal about seeing people settled into homes they once thought were out of reach, especially after being part of the journey from the very beginning. Moments like that are a good reminder of why I love what I do.

The Long Run

Life is hard enough being a kid. Being a kid with cancer makes everything feel so much harder. And yet, these kids just soldier on, taking each day as it comes and showing an incredible strength and perspective. It’s truly inspiring.

That’s why I’ve donated and why I’ll be taking part in The Long Run on Friday 23 January, 6am–6pm, at Rugby & Malvern Parks.

Our community goal is 60,000 laps and $300,000 raised for Kiwi kids with cancer through the Child Cancer Foundation.
