$30k → $600k
$40k → $800k
$50k → $1m

But before you get excited about the numbers 👀 your deposit is only one part of the equation.

Affordability, income, existing debts, lender criteria and the property itself all come into play.

So the better question isn't just "How much deposit do I need?"

It's "What could I realistically buy?"

Today I had the privilege of being there as my client received the keys to her very first home.

As a single mum, this milestone represents hard work, sacrifice and determination. There were challenges along the way, but she stayed focused on her goal and today it became a reality.

Moments like these are why I love what I do. It's not just about mortgages, it's about helping people create security, stability and a place to call their own.

Reflecting on the whirlwind that was April

Amongst the busy weeks, deadlines, approvals and plenty of coffees, we managed to take a bit of time for ourselves with a South Island road trip alongside our dogs, something that was very needed after a hectic start to the year.

We also squeezed in a quick trip to Rotorua & Hamilton to celebrate my mum’s 60th birthday at Hobbiton during a lightning storm hitting, which was incredibly special.

While I was there, I was lucky enough to call in and visit three of my clients who had recently purchased homes in the area.

There’s something pretty surreal about seeing people settled into homes they once thought were out of reach, especially after being part of the journey from the very beginning. Moments like that are a good reminder of why I love what I do.

To every client, referrer, friend and supporter, thank you for continuing to trust and support my business. It never goes unnoticed ❤️
