My heart goes out to this young family for the unfortunate predicament they found themselves in.

If you have private health insurance, you should have peace of mind that if you get ill, the insurance is going to pay. While private insurance will keep you from waiting months in the public system, not all private insurance companies are equal, and unfortunately some companies fall short in many regards. With this latest example these clients were left to pay an extra $25,000 due to the limits of their policy.

If you are unsure of the cover your policy provides, please get in contact with me and I can help. It really pays to have an advisor you can trust, who can get you cover that will pay when you need it to.

Southern Cross policy left a couple facing a $25,000 shortfall to pay for a double mastectomy.
