RE EXPENDITURE;
🎫 Budget Size: Rs. 1964.11 billion
⏳ Allocated towards Current Expenditure: Rs. 1180.98 billion or 60.1 percent
⏭ Allocated towards Capital Expenditure: Rs. 407.89 billion or 20.8 percent
💸 Allocated towards Financial Management: Rs. 375.24 billion or 19.1 percent
▶ Of the total allocation, Rs. 417.83 billion has been allocated towards financial transfers to the provincial and local levels.

RE INCOMES;
🤑 Revenue Collection: Rs.1315 billion
🆘 Foreign Grants: Rs. 53.45 billion

❗BUDGET DEFICIT- Rs. 595.66 billion
& to make up for this shortfall, Rs. 233.66 billion will be raised from foreign loans.

📖 UPDATE RE TAXES- Budget for F.Y. 2082/83:

💳 The government has announced that startup businesses with financial transactions of up to Rs 100 million will not be subject to income tax for 5 years.

💳 The government has adopted a policy of providing electricity tariff and income tax exemptions to information technology and hotels. It has announced that it will provide a 75 percent exemption on income generated from exporting services from information technology, saying that it has made arrangements to provide exemptions similar to special industries.

💳 A person living in Nepal who sells information technology services abroad will be taxed at only 5 percent & this tax would be a final withholding payment.

💳 The government has maintained the customs duties and other taxes imposed on electric vehicles.

💳 An increment in tax rates on to***co products and alcohol is announced too.

💳 VAT, excise duty and income tax laws will be amended.

💳 This budget has announced that there will be study of possibility of imposing multiple rates on VAT. Also, the information technology-based industries and hotels will be given income tax exemptions.

💳 Only 1 percent customs duty on imports for football, cricket and stadiums.

💳 Customs duty exemption on imports of green hydrogen machinery, 1 percent customs duty on imports of batteries for solar energy.

💳 Electric vehicle assembly industry to be subject to only 1 percent customs duty.

💳 1 percent customs duty on tunnel boring machines imported by the private sector.

💳 The VAT levied on digital payment adjustments has been abolished. Similarly, the advance income tax levied on the import of various fruits and vegetables has also been abolished.

💳 The Rs 16 limit imposed on importing ambulances under revenue exemption has been removed.

📖 UPDATE- Budget for F.Y. 2082/83:

📞 The government is going to divest 30 percent of Nepal Telecom's shares to the general public. Currently, the government owns 91.53 percent of Nepal Telecom's shares. Only the remaining 8.47 percent is owned by the general public.

⏩ The government has announced that from the upcoming fiscal year 2082/083, the budget allocated for national projects will not be transferred except in special circumstances.

🦂 Pesticide testing of agricultural produce before sale is now mandatory.

👵🏻 The age limit for receiving old age allowance has now been set at 70. However, the government has stated that the new provision will not apply to those who have already received old age allowance.

💼 A total budget allocation of Rs. 1964.11 billion has been allocated for the upcoming fiscal year.

💼 Of the total budget allocation, Rs. 1180.98 billion or 60.1 percent is for current expenditures and Rs. 477.19 billion or 20.8 percent is for capital expenditures. Rs. 375.24 billion or 19.1 percent is for financial management.

💼 This year's budget is 5.6 percent higher than the current fiscal year's appropriation and 18.2 percent higher than the revised estimate.

📖 UPDATE- Budget for F.Y. 2082/83:

👦 Dearness allowance for civil servants increased to Rs. 5,000 per month.

👨‍⚕ Kanti Bal will be developed as a Center of Excellence for pediatric treatment. Children under the age of 14 will be provided with free cancer treatment.

🏛 It was expected that the salaries of employees would increase this year after the salaries were increased three years ago. However, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel said that it was not possible to increase the salaries due to lack of resources.

🗳 Voter ID card will be linked to national identity card.

👛 The federal government has announced that it will not invest in projects worth less than Rs 30 million.

📖 UPDATE- Budget for F.Y. 2082/83:

🌇 Free residential visas will be provided to subject matter experts and investors working in startup businesses, and digital visas will be provided to those living in Nepal and working remotely for foreign companies.

🛬 Budget of 4.15 billion to make Tribhuvan Airport a boutique airport.

🏟 A total of Rs 420 million will be spent on the upgrade of Mulpani Cricket Stadium, Fapla Cricket Stadium, Siddhartha Cricket Stadium and Girija Prasad Koirala Cricket Ground.

🎩 An international-level exhibition center will be built at Bhrikuti Mandap.

📁 Now, KYC, or customer details, will not have to be filled in separately for each bank and financial institution. The government is going to make arrangements to fill KYC details in one place. The budget has announced that the KYC details will be linked to the national identity card, eliminating the hassle of submitting details everywhere.

📖 UPDATE- Budget for F.Y. 2082/83:

💱 A budget of Rs 2.6 billion has been allocated to complete the Nagdhunga and Siddhababa tunnels in the upcoming fiscal year.

🚧 The Federal Parliament and Supreme Court buildings will be constructed within a year. The buildings of both these bodies are under construction within the Singha Durbar area.

⛑ The government has allocated a budget of Rs 1.27 billion for the construction of the Karnali Corridor.

🚐 The government is set to provide 100 additional electric buses to Sajha Yatayat.

©️ The government has announced that it will issue driving licenses at the provincial level.

🏞 The government is planning to build a park in the Kathmandu Valley named after Madan Bhandari and Ganeshman Singh.

👷 Rs 3.18 billion allocated for construction of road bridges on national highways.

👨‍💼 Starting next fiscal year, students will be allowed to work 20 hours a week.

🥹 High-altitude sports stadiums will be built in mountainous areas including Solukhumbu.

💡 A system will be developed to automatically receive notifications in case of power outages. Technicians will then be deployed for immediate repairs.

💵 152 billion allocated to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.

💷 The government has allocated 86.1 billion rupees to the Ministry of Energy and Irrigation.

📖 UPDATE- Budget for F.Y. 2082/83:

💵 13.28 billion to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.

🏦 A project development agreement (PDA) worth Rs 700 million will be signed with the private sector within the coming fiscal year. For this, construction work worth Rs 400 million will be started. A budget allocation of Rs 740 million will be made to the Investment Board Nepal.

🛣 An allocation of Rs 1.24 billion has been made to continue the work of upgrading the Kalanki, Basundhara, and Dhobikhola road sections of the Kathmandu Ring Road.

📝 The budget includes a program to provide red-letter documents to 500,000 families within a year.

📈 Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has informed that a budget of Rs 57.48 billion has been allocated to the Ministry of Agriculture.

📖 UPDATE- Budget for F.Y. 2082/83:

💊 The government has allocated a budget of 95.81 billion rupees for health for the upcoming fiscal year.

🏟 The government has allocated Rs 400 million for the upgrade of the Kirtipur Cricket Stadium. Similarly, the government has allocated a budget of Rs 540 million for the 10th National Games. This amount is Rs 2.58 billion more than the previous fiscal year.

🚜 The construction of Sikta and Greater Dang Valley Irrigation Projects will be accelerated. Rs 8.5 billion has been allocated for that.

💸 The government has allocated a budget of 6.8 billion rupees to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

👛 Subsidized loans ranging from Rs 200,000 to Rs 20,00,000 at an interest rate of 3 percent will be provided without collateral, based on educational qualifications, business registration, and project proposal.

📖 UPDATE- Budget for F.Y. 2082/83:

👨‍🎓 Graduate students will be mobilized as volunteer teachers.

🙏 Conditional grant programs in the education sector will be gradually converted into fiscal equalization grants. Arrangements will be made to conduct and manage the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) at the provincial level.

🏫 The amount of midday meal provided to students up to grade 5 has been increased to Rs 10.19 billion. It is believed that 2.8 million students will benefit from this.

📈 An allocation of Rs 1.29 billion has been made to continue the distribution of sanitary pads in schools. It is believed that 1.3 million girl students will benefit from this.

💲 2.8 billion allocated to the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare.

📖 UPDATE- Budget for F.Y. 2082/83:

📚 The thematic and stylistic uniqueness of traditional education systems including Gurukul, Gumba, Madrasa, etc. will be protected and promoted.

🎒 Under the National Educational Reform Program, capital grants will be provided for the construction of physical infrastructure for schools with more than 1,500 students in the Terai-Madhesh region, 1,000 in the hills, and 500 in the Himalayas.

💰 The construction work of the under-construction model schools will be completed. Rs 2.72 billion has been allocated for this.

💶 Rs 4.28 billion allocated for the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security.

👨‍🏫 A teacher bank will be established in collaboration with universities to address the shortage of teachers in English, Science, and Mathematics.
