Position Overview:
As a Legal Officer at Alpha Plus Ventures Limited, you will play a critical role in supporting the legal and compliance functions of our firm. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all legal aspects of our investments and operations are well-managed and compliant with relevant regulations. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated legal professional to contribute to the success of a dynamic and rapidly-growing private equity firm in Nepal.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Due Diligence: Conduct thorough legal due diligence on potential investments, including reviewing contracts, agreements, and legal documentation.
Deal Structuring: Assist in structuring investment transactions to optimize legal and financial outcomes.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations affecting the private equity industry and ensure compliance across all aspects of our operations.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements related to our investments and business operations.
Legal Documentation: Prepare and maintain legal documentation related to fund, investment transactions, and other legal matters.
Risk Assessment: Identify legal risks and provide guidance to mitigate those risks effectively.
Legal Research: Conduct legal research on various matters to support decision-making processes.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal team and external legal counsel to ensure smooth ex*****on of investment transactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable institution (Master’s degree in Law preferred).
At least one (1) year of experience in a legal role, preferably in private equity, investment management, or a related field.
Strong understanding of corporate and securities law.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
