Lessons From Day 2 of the 90 Days FX Research & Discipline Challenge 📊🔥

Yesterday exposed something important about my trading psychology.

My fear of taking a losing trade made me remove my stop loss multiple times.

At that moment, it felt like I was “saving” the trade. It even gave me a false sense of control and experience.

But after the losses, I had to face the truth.
Removing my stop loss was not confidence. It was fear.

I was trying to avoid accepting the reality that every trade can either be a winning trade or a losing trade.

A trade is only invalid once it reaches my stop loss according to my rules. That stop loss exists for a reason.

The moment I remove it emotionally, I stop trading my system and start trading my feelings. ⚠️

So from Day 3 onwards, I am making a serious decision:
My stop loss stays fixed unless my plan clearly requires an adjustment. 🎯
This challenge is not just teaching me strategy. It is exposing the habits and emotions that can destroy consistency if left unchecked.

Discipline is becoming more important to me than being right. 📈

Day 1 of the 90 Days FX Research & Discipline Challenge. 📉

Yesterday was not a good trading day on my forward-testing account.

Took multiple losses and noticed something during one of my EURJPY trades.

I increased my risk because of FOMO and wanting faster recovery.

Immediately I noticed it, I reduced the risk once the trade went slightly into profit.

That moment alone told me a lot about my current psychology as a trader.

The issue was not strategy today.
It was impatience and emotional pressure after losses.

I’ve journalled all the trades already. 📝

Today, I’ll finish the backtesting review, save the chart screenshots, and properly document both the forward-testing and backtesting results.

One thing I’m already seeing from this challenge:

Risk management becomes harder when emotions start trying to recover losses quickly.

Still learning.
Still documenting.
Day 1 complete. ✅

How have you reacted to this FOMO pressure in the past😭? Feel free to share your experience👇😊

A while ago, I started a “90 Days FX Drill” focused on improving my trading process.

One thing I learned from that experience is this:

Motivation alone is not enough for consistency.

So instead of approaching this casually again, I’ve restructured the challenge into something more intentional and measurable:

📊 “90 Days FX Research & Discipline Challenge”
— Building a Data-Driven Trading Mindset Publicly.

This version is more focused on:
• structured research
• journaling
• data collection
• ex*****on discipline
• trading psychology
• accountability

The goal is not perfection.

The goal is to build a repeatable process and document the growth properly over the next 90 days.

Day 1 starts now. 🚀

Another one in on GJ

5 out of 5 setups executed without emotional interferrence.
4 out of 5 setups won

We may get another setup. I will try to update you on the one I'm expecting.

Remember consistency beats skill 💯.
In the market you should rather strive to be consistent than skillful. The market is not for those with the brain alone but who are willing to put in the work.📊😎
