Igbo kwenu, Ndi Igbo kwezuo nu.

I grew up hearing that Sam Mbakwe airport, Owerri, was built from money contributed by indigenes of Imo state. I decided to try it out again. I rallied and convinced imolites to open a trust Fund.
We got some trusted individuals among the traditional rulers, religious leaders, professionals and amazons of corporate groups to be signatories.

They can only authorise money to move from the Fund's account to the account of any Company(local or international) that wins the bid for the construction of any infrastructural project. Money cannot go out by any other means whatsoever.

We got 1m imolites giving a minimum of 5k. The rich and wealthy ones gave more. The particular project to be built for the year was selected by voting after an initial analysis zeroes down the options to a manageable number. Well, the mechanism for it's administration wasn't this simplistic, but it wasn't complicated either.

1m people easily raised 5b at 5k. Anambra, Enugu, Abia and Ebonyi followed suit. Every year, an infrastructural project was done. I was about cutting the tape for the commissioning of the largest Pharmaceutical Company when heard:

"Oluoma, Oluoma, Oluoma wake up before you go late for mass". I jumped up from the bed and rushed straight to the bathroom. It was after brushing My teeth that I realized I was dreaming.

I don't know to what extent the Sam Mbakwe airport story is true, but it sounds exactly like something umu igbo are capable of doing. If that story is true, its time to make it a habit. If it's not true, it is time to make it come true.

Dreams come true sha, this one should, it MUST. Igbo kwezuo nu o. Make I go mass, I dey comeπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Chimziterem: Daddy lekwe (Daddy look. She was trying to show me something)

Me: Not looking at her nor giving her attention.

Alaku; Daddy you are not "lekwering"

Me: 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣 See me laughing loud.
She eventually gets my attention.

Greetings Ezigbo Nwannem,

Cha! cha! cha! Igbo kwenu...!

I gladly welcome you to this group: Think Igbo Movement (TIM)...

This group is created to encourage the common IGBO man to start bringing his investments home... "Ukwu Di Anyi Na Mba Adigh Anyi Zi Nma" (our involvements and investments in other people's lands are no longer favourable to us).

In the recent times, attacks and destruction of lives and property in the Northern and Western parts of Nigeria are directly or otherwise targeted at the Igbos and their investments...

Think back to the days of Fashola's government in Lagos, in the disguise of road expansion (which till date remains unexpanded), the shops and goods of Igbo men and women were destroyed and our brothers frustrated back home without compensation. Some were openly told and i quote: "if you don't like what we are doing, you can go back to your states..." This happened in so many parts of Lagos turning Igbos (in their thousands) to "okada" riders. People who were once "d**e ekulie" now turned into "e jikere utu, ogbenye e jikere ogu"...

If the taxes paid to the Lagos State Government by the Igbo dominated markets (eg. Alaba International Market, Mandelas, Trade Fair, Ladipo Market, Balogun Market, Oyinbo Market, etc) are paid to one of the state governments in Igboland, believe you me, Washington DC will be just a street in that state.

Most of us are boxed and tossed around like homeless madmen by landlords and landladies whose houses can only and best be likened to our kitchen lines in our villages...

Who is to be blamed?
The hosts...?
The gods...?
The government...?
No...!
We are to be blamed...

Let's think home...

Think IGBOLAND!
Invest in IGBOLAND!
Build a school in IGBOLAND!
Train a child/children in IGBOLAND!
Become a landlord/lady in IGBOLAND!
Open factories and companies in IGBOLAND!
Get youths and adults employed in IGBOLAND!

This is THINK IGBO MOVEMENT
