Last week, we launched our new App update together with the introduction of some awesome new features such as free transfers within banks in Nigeria, virtual card and our referral scheme.
we are honestly thrilled by the reaction we received from both our new and existing customers.

In the same week, we observed some irregularities with respect to the referral scheme, a small minority of users have tried to abuse our referral scheme by using BVN profiles that do not belong to them, hereby creating multiple fake accounts. Which in turn have caused several backlogs for us(as we have to be doing extra manual checks on registration, in order to ensure that we only accept real genuine users on our platform) and as you can imagine that this will impact on our verification timeline, leading to delay in verifying our real users accounts.

As a company that lays emphasis on providing first class user and service experience, we cannot compromise on quality of our service. As a result, we will be putting a temporary hold on the referral scheme and announce a new resumption date in December.
This becomes imperative as it would enable us to clear out the backlogs, increase the use of artificial intelligence in monitoring fake accounts and announce resumption of the referral package with additional incentives that would benefit you.

Kindly watch out as this would be announced before the end of the year.
