I just wrapped up designing a project and budget tracker for my client, and I'm excited about the outcome.
📍The main pain points for the client were:
1. Lack of a centralized system to track project progress and budget in one place.
2. Manual follow-ups to ensure deadlines were met.
3. Inconsistent visibility into budget and project statuses, making reporting difficult.
📍The solution I provided was to design a comprehensive project and budget tracker using Airtable, which allowed the client to:
-Track project progress, including key details such as tasks, budget allocations, expenses, and current status.
-Automate notifications and reminders, reducing the need for manual follow-ups.
📍Key Features of the project include:
1. Automations:
-The system automatically notifies the assigned team leader when a project is assigned to them.
-A second automation sends a reminder when the due date is 3 days away.
-Trigger a final alert 1 day before the deadline.
2.Custom Interface: I built a user-friendly interface where the client could easily view all projects and their related details in one place. This interface included:
-Task breakdown for each project.
-Budget allocations and real-time tracking of expenses.
- Project status indicators to quickly identify if projects were on track, at risk, or overdue.
📍The result? Improved team efficiency, better budget management, and fewer last-minute rushes! ✅
