📢 Afri Invoice is Recruiting Compliance Officers (Lagos)
Afri Invoice is expanding its compliance and verification team as we strengthen Nigeria’s digital invoicing ecosystem under the NRS mandate. We are recruiting high integrity Compliance Officers based in Lagos, with the ability to travel nationwide for verification, training, exhibitions, trade shows, and official engagements.
💼 Role: Compliance Officer
📍 Location: Lagos (with national travel availability)
💰 Salary Range: ₦400,000 – ₦1,000,000 monthly
Salary depends strictly on experience, competence, and proven ability.
🔎 Core Responsibilities
Compliance Officers play a critical role in protecting Afri Invoice, our users, and the NRS ecosystem. Your work ensures that onboarding, identity verification, and invoice validation meet strict government standards.
Key Duties
• Review identity documents (NIN, passport, driver’s licence, CAC, TIN certificates)
• Verify authenticity of documents using approved validation tools
• Detect fraud indicators such as forged IDs, mismatched data, duplicate identities, or suspicious onboarding patterns
• Review business documentation (CAC filings, VAT status, bank details, corporate resolutions)
• Ensure compliance with NRS e Invoicing rules, VAT regulations, NDPR, AML/CFT, and onboarding mandates
• Conduct field verification when required
• Provide training to businesses, partners, and internal teams on compliance, NRS rules, Input/Output VAT, and invoice validation
• Represent Afri Invoice at exhibitions, trade shows, seminars, and industry events
• Maintain accurate compliance records and audit trails
• Support onboarding teams with high risk or complex cases
🎯 Requirements
• Must be based in Lagos
• Must be available to travel within Nigeria
• Must be willing to attend exhibitions, trade shows, and seminars
• Ability to deliver training confidently and professionally
• Strong understanding of identity verification and document review
• Knowledge of VAT, NRS e Invoicing, AML/CFT, and compliance frameworks
• Experience in compliance, audit, KYC/KYB, or regulatory roles (advantage)
• High attention to detail — zero tolerance for errors
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Integrity and confidentiality — non negotiable
