7 STEPS ON HOW YOU CAN START YOUR E-COMMERCE EMPIRE WITHOUT A STORE OR WAREHOUSE.
I was speaking somewhere in Lagos last Saturday and a lady approached me after the break and asked me for an advice on how she can start her E-commerce business since she doesn't have a store. I gave her the steps she can take and how she can overcome the obstacles on her way. Early this morning, I have a thought that I have to share this same logic I gave her with you should incase you may need it.
Yesterday, I shared on how you can start E-commerce empire without a website by leveraging on social media and instant messengers. So, today, I will be sharing tips on how you can start your E-commerce empire without a store or warehouse. It is possible, what is missing is the knowledge of how you can do it. Remember, knowledge is the currency of 21st-century currency. if you have the knowledge you will have an edge and if you take steps also, sky can't be your limit. Seek knowledge and always take steps on each knowledge you acquire. It is not good to just have knowledge alone, you must take necessary steps needed if you must succeed in life.
Let me say this also, one thing you must know before you can engage yourself in business on the internet is that you need to find or know your niche. You have to be in a field that people will know you with and find your way out to those who will need the service or products you want to offer on the internet. Be in a wrong niche is bad and likewise, do not be a jack of all trade on the internet. Let people feel you and know you with a particular niche and meet the people's needs rather than making money at all cost mentality. The era we are is different from other eras, you must meet people's needs or your products must meet people's needs before they can trust you or your products.
Let's move on if you don't have store or warehouse, do not bother yourself, many people who run E-commerce business on the internet don't really have a store or a
warehouse, so do not bother yourself with a headache that I do not have a store and I can't go ahead. Since I don't know the type of E-commerce business you want to start, but E-commerce is the transaction of buying and selling on the internet. I will be concentrating on selling on the internet in this article.
STEP 1: You should locate or look for where they are selling those products you want to sell online i.e. may be clothes, bags, shoes, cars, houses etc., it may be in the market, stores around you, your relatives etc.
STEP 2: Meet those people who are selling those products you want to sell on the internet, ask for their price and seek their permission to take pictures of those products.
STEP 3: Since you know the price from the source, add your own price but check on those who are also selling those products on the internet to compare prices.
STEP 4: Start marketing those products on the internet. To do this, you can leverage on social media, instant messengers, classified ads websites etc. just like I shared yesterday.
STEP 5: Anytime customers place orders, go back to those places where they are selling those products, buy them
STEP 6: Supply those products to your customers.
STEP 7: Work harder and work smart, you will smile to your bank.
