On Monday, 9th February 2025, CRC executives, led by our MD/CEO, Dr. ‘Tunde Popoola, alongside Mrs. Jelilat Kareem, Executive Director, and Mr. Ayodeji Aluko, Head of Partnerships and Data Analytics, held a productive executive engagement with the leadership of the Insurance Commission (NAICOM), led by the Commissioner for Insurance & CEO, Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin.

The engagement focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration that can strengthen Nigeria’s insurance ecosystem through data-driven oversight, smarter risk assessment, improved underwriting, and fraud reduction. CRC shared its value proposition and highlighted how structured use of credit and risk data can support insurers in making better decisions while contributing to overall market development under NAICOM’s regulatory guidance.

The discussion was warmly received and described as timely, aligning with NAICOM’s ongoing efforts to deepen insurance pe*******on, enhance market stability, and improve public confidence in the insurance sector. Conversations around data privacy and security were also addressed, reinforcing CRC’s strong compliance culture, regulatory alignment, and trusted track record in safeguarding data.

CRC looks forward to working closely with NAICOM and insurance operators to elevate industry standards, support sustainable growth, and deliver better outcomes for regulators, insurers, and policyholders, while strengthening Nigeria’s insurance market and expanding access to insurance nationwide.
