GOD CAN HEAL THROUGH HIS CREATION MEANS

Main Text: Genesis 1:29.

"Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed."

Sickness is not something anyone desires. When sickness comes, we pray. We call upon God. We seek His mercy. But does praying to God mean that we can not use something God has created to help the body?

No

The Bible says in Genesis 1: 29 that God Himself gave humanity plants and herbs for food. Therefore, we must be careful not to call everything God created a taboo.

The issue is not simply herb or no herb🌿

The important questions are
Where does our faith rest
What are we trusting?
And how are we using what God has provided. Our faith must rest in God.

1. God Created Plants For The Benefit Of Humanity

Before there was a pharmacy, there were plants
Before there were laboratories, God had already created the world, containing plants with different properties.

Hear this clearly

This does not mean that every herb is automatically safe or appropriate for every illness.

But it does not mean that the existence and use of plants can not automatically be classified as sinful or taboo.

Let this be cleared

God creation is not the enemy of faith.

The question is that whether we are using God's creation wisely and responsibly.

2. The Bible Connects Plants With Healing.

Let look at Ezekiel 47:12.
"And the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf🍀 thereof for medicine"

Notice the balance

The Bible does not say
Anyone who use leaves for medicine has rejected God

Rather scripture recognises that God can provide things in creation that have medicinal usefulness.
We should therefore stop condemning every Christians who uses herbs🌿simply because they are herbs.

3. God Can Use Natural Things As An Instrument

Look at the story of king Hezekiah
He became seriously sick.
Isaiah 38:21 says:
"Let them take a lumb of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover"

This is remarkable

God had spoken concerning Hezekiah's recovery, but a figs poultice was also instructed to be applied.

Why?

Because God can work through both supernatural interventions and natural means. When God says, I will heal you, it does not necessarily mean. You must refuse every natural means available to you.

Sometimes God heals instantly
Sometimes God heals gradually
Sometimes God uses doctors
Sometimes He uses medicine
Sometimes He uses food
Sometimes He uses things found in His creation.
But the glory belongs to God.

4. Jesus Did Not Teach Us To Despise The Body

Our bodies matters to God.
1 Corinthians 6:19 says
"Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost"

Therefore, we should not abuse our bodies. If we are sick, we should seek appropriate help. We should also be careful with the herbal preparations because natural does not automatically means harmless.

Some herbs can interact with medicines, affect pregnancy, damage organs, or be dangerous in excessive amounts.

Therefore, Christians should avoid blindly taking unknown mixtures.
Wisdom must accompany faith.

God Cannot Give You What Your Character Cannot Sustain.

Texts: 16:10-12. Genesis 39:7-12. 1 Samuel 16:13. Proverbs 10:22. Galatians 5:22-23.

There are prayers we pray asking God to change our situation. We ask God for promotion, prosperity, influence, marriage, ministry, leadership, open doors, and greater opportunities.

But there is another prayer we must learn to pray.

"Lord, God change me so that I can handle what You are bringing into my life"

Because sometimes the greatest danger is not that God refuses to bless us. The danger is receiving something that our character is not mature enough to carry.

A blessing in the hands of an immature person can become a burden. God is interested not only in what you receive, but in who you become after receiving it.

Let check this facts about God

1. God Prepares The Person Before The Position.

Look at David.
David was anointed king in 1 Samuel 16:13. But he did not immediately seat on the throne.

There was anointing before there was appointment. There was preparation before manifestation.
There was the wilderness before the palace.

Why?

Because God had to develop David's character before he could carry the responsibility of the throne. David learned faithfulness while looking after sheep. He learned courage when facing the lion and the bear.

He learned dependence upon God in the wilderness. He learned patience while Saul was pursuing him.

Listen carefully

The throne was not David's first test. His character was his first test. Some people are asking God. "Lord when will you promote me"?.
But God may be asking:
"When will you become ready for the promotion"?

Don't be in hurry to enter a position that your character cannot sustain.

2. Your Character Will Be Tested By What You Pray For

Sometimes we ask God for things without realising that the thing we are requesting will test us.

You ask God for money.
Money will test your contentment
You asked God for influence
Influence will test your humility.
You ask God for leadership.
Leadership will test your patience.
You ask God for a large ministry.
A large ministry will test your integrity.

You ask God for marriage.
Marriage will test your character, patience and ability to love.
You ask God for prosperity.
Prosperity will test your stewardship.

Therefore don't only ask.
Can God give it to me?
Ask
Can I carry it without losing God
That is the deepest question.

3. Character Is More Important Than Gift.

A person can be gifted and still lack character. A person can preach powerfully and still have a character problem. A person can sing beautifully and still lack integrity. A person can be intelligent and still lack wisdom.

A person can have spiritual gifts and still need spiritual maturity. That is why Paul speaks about the fruit of the spirit in Galatians 5:22-23.

Notice the difference:

Gift tells you what you can do
Character tells you who you are
Gift can open a door.
Character keeps you in the room.
Gift can attract people
Character gives them a reason to trust you.
Gift can bring elevation.
Character helps you survive elevation..

I want you to remember this

God does not only want to put something in your hands. He wants to put something in your heart.
He wants blessing with character. He wants influence with humility. He wants prosperity with integrity. He wants authority with wisdom. He wants elevation with stability. He wants harvest with stewardship.

So don't only pray
Lord bless me
But pray
Lord build me

Let Us Pray

Father, Lord, God, prepare me for what You have prepared for me. Build my character before You enlarged my territory. Give me the wisdom to manage what I am praying to receive and
When You open the door, let me have the character to remain standing inside it. In Jesus mighty name. Amen

The Perfect Covenant Of Mercy

Texts: Hebrews 8: 6-13. Jeremiah 31: 31-34. Luke 22:20. Jeremiah 10: 19-23.

There is something greater than what we can achieve by our strength. There is something greater than our qualifications. There is something greater than our good works. It is the mercy of God.

Many of us are alive today not because we have been perfect, but because God has been faithful. There are battles we escaped. There are mistakes that should have ended some opportunities, but mercy gave us another chance.

And as we approach this harvest anniversary under the theme "The Covenant Of Mercy" we are not simply celebrating what we have harvested but we are celebrating the God whose mercy made the harvest possible.

1. What Is A Covenant?
A covenant is more than a promise. A promise can be made casually, but a covenant establishes a serious relationship and commitment between parties.

For Example

When a man and woman enter into marriage, they are not merely saying, "we like each other". But they are saying: "I am committed to you" that is the idea behind covenant.

So when God establishes a covenant, He is saying: "Iam committed to My word concerning you" that should give somebody confidence. Because your confidence is not supposed to be based only on how strong you are. Your confidence is based on the faithfulness of the God who made the covenant.

2, Why Do We Need A Covenant Of Mercy
Because human beings are not perfect. If everything depended on our perfection, many of us would have lost our place long ago. Sometimes we make mistakes
Sometimes we make wrong decision
Sometimes we become weak
Sometimes we disappoint God

But mercy says:

I will not allow your failure to become the end of your story.

Look at David, David made serious mistakes. He committed adultery. He arranged for Uriah to die. Yet when David cried for mercy, God did not throw away his destiny. Psalm 51:1 says "Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving kindness"

David understood something here

When I can not defend myself, I can appeal for mercy. Your mistake may be real but God's mercy is greater than your mistake.

3. The Old Covenants Revealed God's Mercy
When we study the Bible, we see God's mercy operating through different covenants

NOAH
When wickedness filled the earth, God preserve Noah and his family
Mercy preserve them from destruction

ABRAHAM
God called Abraham and established a covenant with him. Abraham was not perfect, but God remained faithful to His covenant.

MOSES
Israel repeatedly failed God. They complained, they disobeyed, they turned away. Yet God continue to show mercy.

DAVID
David failed morally and spiritually, but God's mercy restored him.

So throughout the Old Testament
God was continually revealing His Mercy. But these were pointing towards something greater.

4. JESUS CHRIST BROUGHT THE PERFECT COVENANT
"He is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises"Hebrews 8: 6. This is where everything changed.

The Old Covenants was pointing forward
The prophets were pointing forward
The sacrifices were pointing forward
The priests were pointing forward
Everything was pointing towards Jesus Christ.
Jesus came and established the New Covenant. Luke 22: 20 says
"This cup is the new testament in my blood"

Why Is This Covenant Perfect?
It is perfect covenant because its established upon the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Some people think that, when I become perfect then God will accept me. No. God's mercy meet you where you are, but it does not leave you where it found you.

Under the Old Covenant, the presence of God was approached through the priests and sacrifices.

But when Jesus died on the cross, the vein of the temple was turn. Mathew 27: 51 says "And behold, the vein of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom"

Why?

Because Jesus opened the way Hebrews 10: 19 says"Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus"

Now Hear This

You don't need to stand far away from God, through Jesus you can come near.
When you are confused, come near
When you are afraid, come near
When you have sinned, repent and come near
When you are celebrating, come near
When you need mercy, come near
The blood of Jesus has opened the way.

The Perfect Covenant of mercy is not merely a doctrine to discuss.

It is a reality to experience.
It is why the sinner can return.
It is why broken can be restored.
It is why the fallen can rise again. It is why the hopeless can hope again.

It is why the church can continue.
It is why we celebrate this harvest.
And ultimately, it is because of Jesus Christ the perfect covenant of mercy.

THE MERCY THAT REWRITES DESTINY

Text: 2 Samuel 9: 1-13

The God's mercy that change a life from rejection to restoration, just as He did for Mephibosheth.

Destiny is God's divine purpose and plan for a person's life. However, many destinies are hindered by sin, generational problems, disobedience, oppression, or unfavourable circumstances.

The wonderful news of the gospel is that God's mercy can rewrite what seems permanently written off. Hallelujah.

Mercy is God's compassionate intervention that changes a person's story without regard to what they deserve. When mercy speaks, failure becomes honour, and captivity gives way to freedom. Psalm 102:13 says "Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come"

What does it mean for mercy to rewrite destiny?

It means God changes the direction of a person's life through His compassion.

From poverty to abundance
From rejection to acceptance
From sickness to healing
From Barrenness to fruitfulness
From bo***ge to freedom
From hopelessness to divine purpose

Listen carefully

Only God can rewrite what man believes can never change

Physical Biblical Example

1 Blind Bartimaeus (Mark 10: 46-52) Bartimaeus cried "Jesus Son Of David, have mercy on me" Mercy stopped Jesus. The blind beggar became a seeing disciples. His destiny changed in a single encounter because mercy answered his cry.

2 The widow of Nain (Luke 7: 11-15) The widow had lost her husband and was now carrying her only son for burial. Jesus saw her and had compassion on her. Mercy interrupted the funeral procession. Death gave way to life, and sorrow became joy. Hallelujah.

3. Mephibosheth ( 2 Samuel 9: 1-13) Mephibosheth lived in Lo - debar, a place of obscurity and rejection. Because of covenant of mercy shown through King David, he was brought to the king's table and restored. Mercy can lift a forgotten person into honour.

Now take this point seriously

The greatest example of destiny rewritten is salvation through Jesus Christ.

We were condemned because of sin, but through Jesus Christ's sacrifice, mercy gave us a new identity, a new hope, and eternal life. (Ephesians 2: 4-5) Please Read.

No matter how damage a person's past may be, God's mercy has the final word.

Human judgement may pronounce failure, but divine mercy announce restoration. When mercy speaks, chains are broken, doors are opened, and forgotten destinies are restored.

Let Us Pray

Father, let Your mercy speak louder than every accusation against my life. Every power delaying my divine destiny, be broken by the mercy of God.

Lord, rewrite every negative chapter of my life according to Your purpose and let every door open by the power of divine mercy. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.

THE COVENANT OF MERCY

Text: Deuteronomy 7 verse 9

"Know therefore that the Lord thy God, He is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep His commandment to a thousand generations"

God is a covenant keeping God. His mercy is not temporary or accidentally. It is established by covenant

When God enters into a covenant of mercy with His children, He remembers them in times of trouble, forgive their sins, preserve their lives, and opens doors that no one can shut.

The covenant of mercy is not base on our perfection but on God's unfailing love.

Through Jesus Christ, we have received a better covenant, that sealed by His previous blood.

Therefore, every child of God can approach Him with confidence, knowing that His mercy is available everyday.

So therefore

As we are preparing to celebrate our Harvest anniversary coming up on Saturday 15th August 2026.

May the covenant of mercy speak for you and your family. May every forgotten blessing be remembered, every closed door be opened, and every impossible situation receive divine intervention. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Let Us Pray

O Lord, remember me according to your covenant of mercy. Let Your mercy speak louder than every judgement in my life, and let Your covenant of mercy esterblish peace, favour, and abundant harvest in Jesus name. Amen.

THE HARVEST OF MERCY

Texts: Psalm 126:5-6. Hosea 10:12. Galatians 6:7-9. Psalm 23:6

Harvest is a season of joy. It is the time when the labor of many months is rewarded. Spiritually, harvest is more than gathering crops, it is receiving the results of what God has done in our lives.

Mercy is one of God's greatest gifts. If the covenant of mercy is the seed God plants in our lives, then the harvest of mercy is the blessing we reap because of His faithfulness.

Many people have received what they never deserved not because of their strength, but because of God's mercy. David declared in Psalm 23:6 "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever"

Notice that mercy does not visit God's children only once, it follows them throughout life.

Let me ask you this

What Is The Harvest Of Mercy?

The harvest of mercy is the visible manifestation of God's compassion in every area of life.

It Is When:
Sinners received forgiveness
The sick received healing
The poor received provision
The rejected received acceptance
The barren become fruitful
The hopeless receive hope
The lost are restored.

Hear this

Mercy produces a harvest that human effort alone cannot produce.

People Who Experience The Harvest Of Mercy

1 Noah. Mercy preserved him. Genesis 6:8 "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord"
While the world perished, Noah and his family were preserved

Lesson 1
Harvest of mercy is divine preservation

2 Ruth. Mercy changed her story. Ruth 2:4. Ruth was a poor widow little hope for the future. Yet God's mercy led her to Boaz, and her life was transformed.

Lesson 2
Mercy can take someone from emptiness to abundance.

3 Blind Bartimaeus. Mercy restored his sight. Mark 10:46-52.
He cried, "Jesus, Son Of David, have mercy on me" Many tried to silence him, but he cried even louder. Jesus stopped, called him, and restored his sight.

Lesson 3
A sincere cried for mercy can change a person's destiny.

4 The Prodigal Son. Mercy restored relationship. Luke 15:11-24. After wasting everything, he returned expecting rejection. But instead his father embraced him.

Lesson 4
God's mercy restores those who return to Him with repentance.

5 Peter. Mercy restored his ministry. John 21:15-19. Peter denied Jesus three times, yet Jesus restored him and entrusted him with leadership.

Lesson 5
Failure is not the end when God's mercy is at work.

What Can The Harvest Of Mercy Produce?

Through God's Mercy:
Believers receive salvation
Divine protection
Healing
Fruitfulness
Open doors.
Financial provision
Peace in the family
Vitory over enemies
Restoration of lost opportunities
Eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Every harvest begins with seed. God has already sown His mercy into our lives through Jesus Christ. As we remain faithful to Him, we will continue to reap a harvest of peace, joy, Restoration, favor, and eternal hope.

Let Us Pray

Father, we lift our hands to you Lord, by the mercy of God, let every dry season in our lives come to an end. Mercy of God preserve our families, health, our work, and our ministries. Let us have the cause to continue testify that the Lord has given us harvest beyond our expectation. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen

THE LORD SHALL FIGHT FOR YOU

Text: Exodus 14: 14
"The Lord Shall Fight for you and ye shall hold your peace"

There comes a time in every Beliebers life when the challenges before us seems greater than our strength. Israel faced such a moment when they stood before the Red Sea.

Behind them was Pharaoh's army, before them was the sea, and there seemed to be no way out.

Many people today find themselves in similar situations. Some are facing financial battles, health challenges, or spiritual opposition.

But the God who delivered Israel has not changed. God's message to His people remains the same. The Lord Shall Fight For You

Let Take It Step By Step

1 God Fights For Those Who Belong To Him. Israel was God's covenant people. Because they belonged to Him, He took responsibility for their deliverance.

Isaiah 43: 1. "Fear not for I have redeemed thee by thy name, thou art mine." When you belong to God, you are never alone in your battles.

2 God Fights When Human Strength Fails. At the Red Sea, Israel had no military power to defeat Pharaoh. 2 Chronicle 20: 12 "Neither know we what to do , but our eyes are upon thee.

Sometimes God allows us to reach the end of our strength so that we can discover the greatness of His power.

3 Faith Invites God's Intervention.
Moses trusted God even when there was no visible solution.
Hebrew 11: 29 " By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land"

Hear Me Clearly

Faith does not deny the problem, faith trusts God in the middle of the problem

4 When God Fights, Victory Is Certain. Pharaoh pursued Israel with confidence, but God overture the situation. Romans 8: 31 "If God be for us, who can be against us?"
No enemy can prevail when God arise on behalf of His people.

If you really want God to fight for you.

5. Our Duty Is To Trust And Obey
God told Israel to move forward while He handle the battle. Exodus 14: 15 "Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward."

While God fights for us, we must continue walking in faith and obedience.

I say this unto you

The God who fought for Israel is still fighting for His people today. Whatever battle you are facing, do not surrender to fear. Do not give up. Do not lose hope. The battle may be fierce, but the victory belong to God.

Let Us Pray

Father, every battle that is beyond my strength, I place into your hands. Father, fight for me, make a way where there seems to be no way, and let Your name be glorified in my life. In Jesus name. Amen.

THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SPIRITUAL ASPECTS OF SALT

Test: Mathew 5: 13
Mark: 9: 50 And
2 Kings 2:19-22

"Ye are the salt of the earth, but if the salt have lost his savour, where with shall it be salted?. It is thereforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men" Mathew 5: 13

Salt is one of the most common substances in the world. Yet it carries deep spiritual meaning in the Bible. It can preserve, heal, purify, and also as seasoning.

However, when misused or when it loses it's purpose, it can also symbolized judgement, barrenness, and uselessness.

Therefore as believers, we must understand both the positive and negative spiritual aspects of salt

1 The Positive Spiritual Aspects Of Salt

Salt Preserves: Mathew 5,: 13
You are the salt of the earth. Salt Preserves not to decay. Spiritually, Christians are called to preserve righteousness in a sinful world.

Lesson:

Live a holy life. Stand against corruption. Preserve godly values in your family, church , and community.

Salt Gives Flavour: Food without salt lacks taste. Spiritually, believers should make life attractive through Christ. Show love, encourage others. Let your words bring hope and joy.

Salt Purify And Heals 2 Kings 2: 19-22. Elisha used salt, under God's instructions, to heal the polluted waters of Jericho.

Lesson

God can use His power to cleanse polluted lives, broken homes, and troubled situations.

Salt Represent Covenant. In the Old Testament, salt symbolized an everlasting covenant with God.

Lesson

God remains faithful to Him promises. Our relationship with Him should also be marked by faithfulness and commitment.

Salt Brings Peace: Mark 9: 50.
"Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another" A mature believers promote peace instead of conflict.

2. The Negative Spiritual Aspects Of Salt

Salt That Loses It's taste becomes Useless. Jesus warned that tasteless salt is thrown away.

Lesson

A believer who compromises with sin loses spiritual influence.

Let me ask you this question

Are you still impacting others for Christ ? Is your testimony still strong?

Salt Can Represent Judgement
Genesis 19: 26. Lot's wife became a pillar of salt because she looks back in disobedience.

Lesson

Looking back to sinful life can hinder God's purpose and invite judgement.

Salt Can Symbolized Barrenness.

In several Old Testament passages, salt land represented unfruitfulness and Desolation.

Lesson

Sin and rebellion make a person's spiritual life dry and unproductive.

The Salt Misused Can Destroy

Although salt Preserves, too much salt can damage land and make it unfit for crops.

Lesson

Knowledge without love, correction without mercy, and zeal without wisdom can hurt rather than help.

Salt has two sides, the positive side and the negative sides.

The positive side of salt, preserve righteousness and add spiritual flavour, bring healing. Keep God's covenant and promote peace.

The negative side of salt. Do not look back like Lot's wife, avoid spiritual barrenness. Use your gift with wisdom and love.

Jesus says, "You are the salt of the earth"

My questions to you is

Are you preserving lives or you have lost your spiritual saltiness?

Let us pray

Father, make me the salt of the earth that preserve righteousness
Lord, restores every area where I have lost my spiritual influence.

Purify my heart and make me useful in Your Kingdom. Let me never to look back from following You. May I remain faithful to Your covenant until the end, in Jesus name. Amen.

THE BLOOD THAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE

Text:- Exodus 12: 13

"And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you"

On the night of the first Passover, there are many houses in Egypt. Some belonged to Egyptians and others to Israelites.

Those houses looked similar from the outside, but one thing made the difference, the blood on the doorposts.

God did not say, "When I see your nationality" or "When I see your good works" He said "When I see the blood"

Even today what makes the difference in a person's life is the blood of Jesus Christ.

Let move forward more

1 The blood made the difference between life and death.

Every house in Egypt was under judgement. The first born in every unprotected house died. But where the blood was applied death could not entered. Exodus 12: 12-13

Lesson

Sin brings death, but the blood of Christ brings life. Romans 6: 23

2 The blood make the difference between judgement and mercy

God judgement passed through Egypt, but mercy covered those under the blood. The blood spoke on behalf of the people inside the house.

Lesson

We all deserve judgement because of sin, but through Christ we receive mercy. Hebrew 12: 24

3 The blood made the difference between bo***ge and freedom

The Passover night marked the beginning of Israel's deliverance from slavery. After centuries of bo***ge, they were finally set free.

Lesson

The blood of Jesus delivers people from the bo***ge of sin, fear, and the power of darkness. Colossians: 1: 13-14.

4. The blood made the difference between being ordinary and being God's people.

The blood separate Israel from Egypt. God identified His covenant people by the blood. Exodus 11: 7

Lesson

Believers are distinguished not by wealth, tribe, education, or status, but by their relationship with Christ. 1 Peter 2: 9

5 The blood made the difference between condemnation and salvation.

The Passover lamb pointed to Jesus Christ, the lamb of God. Just as the lamb died, so Israel could live, Jesus died so sinners could be saved. John 1: 29

Lesson

The blood of Jesus still saves, cleanses, and restores. John 1:7.

On that night in Egypt, the difference was not the size of the house, the wealth of the family, or their social position. But The difference was the blood.

Today

The blood is still protects
The blood is still saves
The blood is still delivers
The blood is still speaks mercy
The blood is still makes the difference

On Passover Night

Two houses stood side by side in Egypt. Both heard the same wind. Both experienced the same dark night. But one hard sorrow and death, while the other had joy and preservation. The difference was the blood.

Let me ask you

If God were to look at your life today, would He see the mark of the blood of Jesus Christ?

Let us pray

Heavenly father, we thank You for Your word that has reminded us of the power of the blood that made the difference in Egypt and still makes the difference today.

Father, let the blood of Jesus speaks for us where judgement is speaking against us. Let it speaks mercy where condemnation is standing against us.
