Causes of missing items for importers :
1. packages being delivered without Name and User ID on it : it makes it hard to identify the owe, warehouse sometimes rejects such package but courier would leave it at their warehouse without returning it back to the merchant and sometimes mark it as signed.
2. Delivery to the wrong warehouse address: warehouse can be in yiwu while the courier takes it to a different city entirely
3. Quantity mistakes from the merchant :
merchants have staffs, sometimes they can give less quantity than you paid for, sometimes they deliver different things entirely. It could be a mistake, it could be a deliberate act by the workers
4. What I ordered vs what I got : some can give you a picture of the items while packing but exchange it to something else after the picture ( sometimes you can sense it from the price of the item)
5. Improper packing from warehouse leading to items falling off from the cartons
6. Shortages during Custom inspections
7. Goods being tampered with during Waybill to your location
An importer must have experienced one of these.
