🔥 THE BEST TEACHER ISN’T ALWAYS YOUR CHILD’S FAVORITE TEACHER.

Sometimes the teacher a child likes the least is the one who refuses to lower the bar.

They’re the teacher who expects homework to be completed, rules to be followed, effort to be made, and disrespect to have consequences. They don’t give an easy grade just to avoid an argument. They don’t look the other way when expectations aren’t met. And they don’t confuse keeping students happy with helping them grow.

Of course, great teachers should be kind, fair, patient, and supportive. But their job isn’t to win a popularity contest.

Some of the teachers we appreciate most as adults weren’t necessarily our favorites when we were sitting in their classrooms. Years later, we realize they challenged us because they believed we were capable of more.

Being liked can make someone a popular teacher. Being willing to teach, challenge, correct, and hold students accountable can make someone a great one.

Do you agree? Did you ever have a teacher you didn’t appreciate as a child, but completely understood once you got older?
