I want to share with you the book I have been reading for the week

The book I'm on is the psychology of money by Morgan housel

The book is a MUST READ for everyone comprising those not interested in investments.

Let me talk a little bit about the book

The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel is a book about investing, personal finance, and business decisions. Housel describes how financial decisions are typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world, people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet

He also talked about the power of time and compounding

He also talked about about saving. Having enough money in savings gives you the freedom to make different decisions about a new job, house/car repairs, etc. Building savings and having a reserve is your safety margin.

I love reading and I hope a reader's community. While I work towards then you can check out buildlibng on IG is a new gold mine I want to lavish my money on to get good books

This might sound like a cliche, but it works

I could remember the first piggy box I bought that I would use and develop a saving culture for myself

Every day I had to force myself to visit the piggy box and drop some money

Some days it was painful doing it especially days I wanted to use the money and buy something

To me, I thought the little money I was putting in the piggy box wasn't making any difference till the day it was time for me to open the box and enjoy the fruit of my labor

What if I spent that little money I was meant to save on junks🤔 thinking it is too small to save

Dear reader, show up daily

There will be many excuses that are supposedly genuine that you might have. Still, remember to show up

🎯Read those few pages of a book

🎯Devote a little time to take that online course

🎯Spare a few mins or hours in learning that skill

🎯Save up that little money you want to use to buy unnecessary things

🎯Hit that gym and get some exercise

Do those little things that get you to your goal. You might not see the effect now but there is a principle of compound effect that works

The year is still young show up daily on those goals. Keep building, keep working on it.

These little things that you do are what builds consistency, resilience, and tenacity
