Gold Forecast (XAU/USD)

Gold surged on Friday to a new all-time high of $3,600 following weak U.S. employment data.

The U.S. Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) report showed only 22,000 jobs created in August, well below expectations. The unemployment rate rose to 4.3%, while wage growth remained steady.

These weak figures fueled speculation that the Federal Reserve may resume rate cuts in September. According to the FedWatch tool, the market currently prices in a 92% probability of a 25-basis-point cut, with some chance of a 50-basis-point cut.

Treasury yields dropped, with the 10-year yield approaching 4%, pushing the U.S. Dollar Index toward 97.50 and increasing gold’s appeal as a safe-haven asset.

Political tension also supported gold after President Trump dismissed Fed Governor Lisa Cook, raising renewed concerns over Fed independence. Market focus now shifts to Thursday’s inflation data, which will guide the next gold moves.

Technical Analysis:

The daily chart shows gold breaking through the $3,600 record level, closing at the highest weekly level in history. The breakout from a rising triangle pattern suggests continued upward momentum, provided support holds between $3,500 – $3,450.

However, the RSI has reached overbought levels, indicating that a consolidation could occur before the next upward move.

They say patience and good luck are close,

as close as hair and skin.

And if you think about it deeply,

you’ll see the truth in that simple saying.

Good luck isn’t always some magical force that shows up randomly.

Most times, it shows up quietly, dressed as consistency, discipline, and patience.

People often admire the success, the breakthrough,

or the lucky moment someone gets

but they don’t see the silent waiting,

the quiet hustle,

the long nights filled with hope and prayer.

They miss the part where the person stayed

calm while everything around them looked like it was falling apart.

Look at hair and skin.

Hair grows from the skin, you can’t have one without the other.

That’s how patience births good luck.

You wait, you endure, you trust the process.

And in the midst of that waiting, something begins to shift.

Opportunities start to align. The right people show up.

The pieces start to fit.

Suddenly, it looks like “luck,” but really,

it’s just patience finally paying off.

A lot of people give up too soon,
