Quintessential CFI, Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, is a year older today..... NCRIB Celebrates and passes Vote of Confidence on His Leadership
When a great leader is on the saddle, majority of the followers are delighted as they witness significant progress, regardless of be-setting temporary challenges.
This statement is just apt for the vibrant and quintessential Mr Olusegun Omosehin, the number one insurance professional and regulator who turns a year older today.
It's no longer news that the Nigerian insurance industry had been at the back waters of development, due to multifarious reasons, but as it is today, the current leadership of the industry under Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, is turning things around, making all besetting obstacles become stepping stones for the industry's greatness.
Under his astute leadership, the insurance industry has recorded some milestones, notably, the successful passage and signing of the Nigerian Insurance Industry Reform Act 2025, code named "NIIRA 2025", which is already a game spinner for the industry as well as the near conclusion of the recapitalisation of insurance companies which has been well received by progressive minds as the best that could happen to the Nigerian insurance industry at this time. Needless to rehash that the audacious recapitalisation exercise has better positioned the industry to undertake greater risks, restore the confidence of the public in the industry as well as underscore the place of the industry as one of the major catalysts for the one trillion dollar economy aspirations of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.
Ultimately, the gains are huge and unimaginable for the operators and a cross section of operators and insuring public are well delighted.
All these and several more accomplishments could not have been achieved without the humble and dynamic headship provided by Mr Ayo Omosehin at NAICOM.
The insurance broking sector under the aegis of the NCRIB is using this platform, through the voice of its President, Mrs Ekeoma Ezeibe, FCIB to convey it's well wishes to the "birthday boy", on this auspicious day, pledging the support of the Council for his more sterling sucesses in office and life.
We wish him happy birthday and please accept our felicitations.
