Fellow members of SWAPO and supporters. Let me highlight these few lines to you.When one candidate winsin SWAPO,that victory is for all af us.Our task is to rally behind them and give them our full support. If you say you are not going to vote because of this and that,then you will give a chance to oppositions parties to take over. And if they take over? They will let you to run my dear colleagues.
The victory of Meme Netumbo to me has not come as a surprise. I know her in the the 70th when they used to come at Engela from Odibo to adress our SWAPO meetings.I can remember some her colleagues who have been accompanied her like Cde.Kaikofele,Nathaniel Naxwilili Jr and others.
She has really opened my eyes about our organization SWAPO.I was a small boy at that time,but I managed to copy from her.
When I left Namibia the 1st of Agust 1974,I knew were I was going.We walked from Angolan border to Zambia.Then we established a base called Oshatotwa were i got my first training. After completion our training, I was given a my gun called PM.When young people were selected to go school. I run in the bush.
I never wanted to give my gun away.I told the commanders that, I will go to school. But I will be back and is what I did.Cde Nahas wanted me to go and give classes at Kwanza Sul,but I refused I told him that my gun is waiting for me.Ladies must give classes not me.
In short, if Meme Netumbo was not there to let me know what's the aim and objective of SWAPO,I don't think I could have gone and fight or left Namibian.
