2023年3月- 客户医药卡保单生效。
2025年5月- 发现5cm的子宫肌瘤。
客户因担心开刀手术，
在小红书找到了叫HIFU 子宫肌瘤海扶刀的治疗。
也称聚焦超声消融： 通过无创方式（无需开刀不留疤）破坏肌瘤组织，让肿瘤逐渐坏死。
目前全马应该只有一间位于马六甲的医院Mahkota Medical Centre有这个仪器，
Dr Sevellaraja 有这方面的技术。
询问了我这项治疗是否可以用医药卡进行索赔，
确认了后就和主治医生安排入院治疗日期。
安排好了和保险公司提早几天申请Guaranteed Letter，
顺利在7/7/2025 入院，
8/7/2025做了无创手术，客户说0痛感😍。
检查和休息了一天就可以正常出院了。
这项手术一共索赔了 RM31,055.53，
客户只需要自付RM402.07。
客户出院后，我立即协助客户处理入院前的索赔（客户先自付）
其中包括医生咨询费用，MRI费用，以及药物费用。
总额RM2239.80，
Great Eastern 在4天内就全额批准理赔给客户。 😍
从保单生效14/3/2023至今长达2年4个月，
保费一共付了RM5,600。
也很幸运的刚好过了2年的调查期。
现在的医疗技术越来越发达，
当然医药费也随之上涨。
如果没有百万医药卡，
试想想未来的日子我们是否可以预支和有权利选择越来越先进的医疗设备呢？
如今的医药卡最基本的年限已经在3百万，
您是否有在风险来之前好好对自己的保障审查一下呢？

Shaylee’s Client Case Sharing:
My client’s Medical Insurance took effect on 14 March 2023.
In May 2025, a 5cm uterine fibroid was discovered.
Worried about undergoing surgery,
the client found a treatment called HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) for uterine fibroids on XiaoHongShu.
Also known as focused ultrasound ablation,
this is a non-invasive procedure (no surgery, no scars) that destroys fibroid tissue, causing the tumor to gradually become necrotic.
Currently, Mahkota Medical Centre in Melaka is believed to be the only hospital in Malaysia equipped with this machine, and Dr. Sevellaraja specializes in this technique.
The client consulted me to check whether this treatment could be claimed under her medical card.
Once confirmed, she worked with the attending doctor to arrange an admission date.
We applied for a Guaranteed Letter from Great Eastern a few days in advance, and the client was successfully admitted on 7 July 2025, with the non-invasive procedure done on 8 July 2025.
She reported zero pain during the process 😍. After a day of monitoring and rest, she was discharged as usual.
The total cost of the procedure was RM31,055.53,
and the client only needed to pay RM402.07 out of pocket.
After the client was discharged, I immediately assisted them in processing the pre-hospitalization claims (which the client initially paid out-of-pocket). This included doctor consultation fees, MRI charges, and medication costs. The total amounted to RM2239.80, and Great Eastern approved the claim with full amount within 4 days. 😇
From policy inception on 14 March 2023 to now, it has been 2 years and 4 months, and she had paid a total of RM5,600 in premiums. She was also fortunate to have just passed the 2-year contestability period.
With medical technology advancing rapidly, the cost of treatment is also increasing.
Without a million-ringgit medical card, would we still be able to afford or even choose such cutting-edge treatments in the future?
Today, most medical cards offer at least RM3 million in annual limits.
