We were pleased to participate in the 6th German-Malaysian Business Forum (GMBF) on 6 May 2026 in Kuching, organised by the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MGCC).

The forum was graced by Deputy Premier YB Datuk Amar Awang Tengah , who addressed business leaders and government officials from Germany and Malaysia on Sarawak's investment opportunities. Our CEO, Timothy Ong, joined the opening Fireside Chat alongside H.E. Silke Riecken-Daerr, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Malaysia, and Hannes Farlock, Executive Director of MGCC, for high-level dialogue on renewable energy, semiconductors, talent development, and Sarawak's digital economy.

With German-linked investments totalling more than RM14 billion since 2013, the foundation for a deeper Sarawak-Germany partnership is firmly in place. We look forward to continued engagement with MGCC and the German business community.

We recently facilitated a strategic engagement with Collaborative Research in Engineering Science & Technology bringing together industry leaders across healthcare, urban development, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing to explore collaboration opportunities in Sarawak. The visit, building on earlier engagements, included strategic discussions with Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian and Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.

The discussions centred on advancing collaboration in the semiconductor value chain, AI and digital technologies, agri-tech and sustainable industrial development. The delegates highlighted Sarawak's policy clarity, reliable energy and strong government commitment as key enablers for investment and innovation.

Together with government, industry and community stakeholders, we remain committed to fostering partnerships that will accelerate Sarawak's transformation into an inclusive, sustainable and innovation-driven economy.

A French delegation led by HE Marc Abensour, Ambassador of France to Malaysia, visited Sarawak to explore potential collaboration in key sectors such as aerospace, renewable energy, aviation manufacturing, oil and gas, and carbon capture technologies.

The visit included engagements with key Sarawak agencies including Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS) and Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB). Discussions highlighted Sarawak’s strong renewable energy resources, industrial infrastructure and pro-investment policies that support sustainable and high-technology investments in line with PCDS 2030.

We look forward to continued engagement with the Embassy of France in Malaysia.

We recently facilitated a visit by the Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association led by its President Dato' Seri Wong Siew Hai, following earlier discussions from the Sarawak Semiconductor Investment Forum in Penang last year.

The visit included industry briefings, site visits and strategic discussions with the Sarawak Government, led by YB Deputy Premier of Sarawak Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, highlighting Sarawak's industrial readiness, reliable and competitively priced energy, existing semiconductor operations, and commitment to long-term policy clarity. We look forward to continued collaboration with MSIA.

We had the honour of joining the Kuala Lumpur Business Club (KLBC) in welcoming The Right Honourable Christopher Luxon , Prime Minister of New Zealand, during his visit to Malaysia. The engagement explored potential collaboration in hospitality, tourism and halal tourism, positioning Malaysia and Sarawak as a regional hub for travellers and investors. Looking forward to working with New Zealand to drive sustainable investments, foster innovation, and create lasting economic opportunities.

We are pleased to have participated in the International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak 2025 (IDECS25).

Our CEO, Timothy Ong, was part of the esteemed panel for the Leaders Forum entitled "Making Sarawak's Digital & Green Projects Bankable", moderated by SDEC CEO Dato Ir. Ts. Sudarnoto Osman, alongside CENTEXS CEO Dato Haji Syeed Mohd Hussien and BioVerde Technologies CEO Hazwan Razak. The session centred on the importance of aligning project structures with global standards through public-private partne inable financing frameworks and advanced technologies to enable long-term investments and build investor confidence.
