Essential Skills / Qualification:

- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent and higher in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geosciences or Petroleum Engineering.

- Practical application of wellbore strengthening, wellbore stability analysis, drilling engineering, new well delivery, reservoir geomechanics.

- Extensive experience in performing geomechanical and wellbore stability studies in Malaysia of ten years or more.

- Performed geomechanical studies for West Malaysia & Sabah of five years or more.

- Preference given to candidates who meet requirements and are currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As we champion on business transformation and digitalisation, new programmes and initiatives are being introduced to maintain competitiveness and stay relevant. Companies are increasing their leverage on technologies and adapting new ecosystems associated with automation and IoT ('internet of things') to drive efficiency. Against this backdrop, process safety culture, technology and responsibility is reshaping as technology is absorbed into the day to day plant operations.

MeQAR Resources is to take part of the Hazards Asia Pacific Symposium 2019. YH Dato’ Muhtar Hashim was invited as part of MeQAR Resources, IChemE and CICM, to moderate panellists from Malaysia, Australia, Brunei, Singapore and United Kingdom in discussion regarding Responsibility and Governance.

MeQAR Resources represents Malaysia at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum for promoting growth, technical and economic cooperation, trade facilitation and liberalisation, and investment in the Asia-Pacific region.

From chemical dialogues, trade & investment, agriculture to marine decommissioning. Discussions touches on economic and technical cooperation, allowing application for funds for economies to share good practices and through this tool advance the prosperity of the region and its people.
