两星期，说长不长，却足以让彼此留下记忆。

来自 UPM 兽医系的7位实习生，在过去两个星期来到怡保防止虐待动物协会庇护所，陪伴我们的毛孩，也和员工一起打扫狗舍、帮狗狗洗澡、带它们散步。

今天，他们完成了这次实习。

也许他们带走的是一段实习经历，但我们的狗狗留下的，却是两星期满满的陪伴与爱。

谢谢你们，让庇护所的日子多了一点忙碌，也多了一点温暖。虽然只是相处两个星期，虽然狗狗不会记得你们的名字，但它们一定记得，这两个星期，有人爱过它们，再次谢谢你们。

祝你们回到大学后学业顺利，未来成为优秀的兽医！

Two weeks may not seem like a long time, but it was long enough to leave a lasting memory in both our hearts. ❤️

Over the past two weeks, seven veterinary students from UPM joined us at the ISPCA animal shelter for their internship. They spent their time caring for our furry friends and working alongside our staff cleaning kennels, bathing the dogs, taking them for walks, and most importantly, giving them love and companionship.

Today, they completed their internship with us.

Perhaps they will take home a valuable internship experience, but our dogs will remember something even more precious the two weeks of love, care, and companionship they received.

Thank you for bringing a little more busyness, but also a lot more warmth, into our shelter. Although you were only with them for two weeks, and our dogs may never remember your names, they will remember that, for these two weeks, someone cared about them and loved them.❤️

Once again, thank you, and we wish all of you success in your studies as you return to university. May you continue to pursue your dreams and become wonderful veterinarians in the future!

And next week, the second batch of UPM veterinary interns will be arriving at our shelter.

Five tonnes of pet food may sound like a huge amount.
But for a shelter caring for more than 300 rescued dogs, five tonnes is simply a meal that keeps them fed for a while.
Our heartfelt thanks to Snappy Tom for believing in and supporting the SPCA Ipoh Food Bank Programme. Your generosity has been transformed into full food bowls and wagging tails.
At the same time, we know there are many dedicated animal rescuers and volunteers throughout Ipoh who work tirelessly for stray animals while struggling with severe food shortages.
With this in mind, the SPCA Ipoh Board has decided to share part of the donated pet food with animal welfare volunteers who are in need, so that more stray dogs beyond our shelter can also enjoy a proper meal.
We believe kindness should never stop at one shelter—it should reach every volunteer who is fighting to save lives.
We sincerely hope more pet food companies will join us in supporting the SPCA Ipoh Food Bank Programme, enabling us to help even more rescuers, animal welfare groups, and countless stray animals in need.

A heartfelt thank you to Snappy Tom （M） Sdn. Bhd. for generously donating three tonnes of pet food (18 pallets) to the ISPCA Food Bank. This incredible contribution will help ensure that hundreds of rescued animals receive the nourishment they need.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the veterinary students from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) who volunteered to unload and organise the two shipments. It was hard work, and by the end everyone was exhausted, but knowing that more than 300 shelter dogs will have full stomachs made every bit of effort worthwhile.
Kindness is meant to be shared.
With this in mind, ISPCA's management has decided to distribute part of the donated pet food to dedicated animal rescuers and volunteers who are struggling with limited resources while caring for stray animals. We hope this act of generosity will continue to spread, reaching even more animals in need.
To Snappy Tom, the UPM veterinary students, and every volunteer who continues to stand with us—thank you. Your compassion and support make it possible for us to keep giving a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.

今天，怡保防止虐待动物协会（ISPCA）迎来了一群充满爱心的朋友，他们是来自拉曼理工大学TARUMT的学生们。

他们不仅为庇护所的毛孩们带来了爱心粮食，更亲自动手打扫狗舍，为狗狗们打造更干净、舒适的生活环境。同时，他们也陪伴狗狗们散步、互动，让这些等待家的小生命感受到久违的关怀与温暖。

或许，对我们来说只是短短几个小时；但对毛孩们而言，却是一段充满快乐与爱的珍贵时光。

衷心感谢拉曼理工大学学生们的到访与付出。因为有你们的善心与行动，让流浪动物感受到社会的温暖，也让更多人看见关爱生命的重要。

Today, the Ipoh Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA) welcomed a group of compassionate friends — students from Universities TARUMT.

Besides bringing love and care in the form of food donations for the shelter animals, the students also personally helped to clean the dog kennels, creating a cleaner and more comfortable living environment for the dogs. They also spent time walking and interacting with the dogs, allowing these little souls who are waiting for their forever homes to feel the warmth, care, and companionship they truly deserve.

For us, it may have only been a few hours; but for the animals, it was a precious moment filled with happiness, love, and kindness.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the TARUMT students for their visit, dedication, and generosity. Through your kindness and actions, you have brought warmth to the lives of stray animals and reminded more people of the importance of caring for every living being.

怡保防止虐待动物协会（ISPCA）衷心感谢来自拉曼大学（Utar)的同学们到访本会庇护所，以实际行动为流浪动物送上温暖与关怀。

同学们不仅慷慨捐赠了80公斤宠物粮食，为狗狗们提供营养所需，更不辞劳苦地协助清洗狗舍，认真打扫每一个角落，让毛孩子们拥有一个更干净、更舒适的生活环境。

每一袋粮食、每一滴汗水、每一个善意的举动，都让我们深深感受到年轻一代对生命的尊重与关爱。

感谢你们用行动诠释了爱护动物的精神，也希望这份善意能够感染更多人，一起加入守护流浪动物的行列，让更多无声的生命拥有希望与未来。

Today, 10 animal welfare organisations in Ipoh jointly signed and submitted a memorandum to the Office of the Mayor of Ipoh, expressing their serious concerns over the recent increase in stray dog capture operations carried out by the enforcement authorities. The organisations are also urging the Ipoh City Council (MBI) to engage with all animal welfare NGOs to seek a practical, humane, and sustainable solution to the city's stray animal issue.
In recent weeks, the frequency of stray dog capture operations has increased significantly, placing immense pressure on animal welfare organisations. At the same time, the stringent conditions imposed for reclaiming captured dogs have made it increasingly difficult for NGOs to rescue and care for these animals. Despite their willingness to help, many organisations simply no longer have the resources, manpower, or financial capacity to continue shouldering this responsibility alone.
For many years, animal welfare organisations have been carrying out rescue work, sterilisation, medical treatment, sheltering, rehabilitation, and adoption programmes. However, with the ever-growing stray population and limited shelter space, funding, and volunteers, NGOs have reached their limits and can no longer bear the burden without meaningful support and cooperation from the authorities.
We firmly believe that the stray animal issue cannot be solved through continuous capture or euthanasia alone. A long-term and effective solution can only be achieved through close cooperation between the local government, enforcement agencies, animal welfare organisations, veterinarians, and the community.
In the memorandum, the ten organisations respectfully proposed that Ipoh City Council convene a meeting with all animal welfare NGOs to discuss and reinstate the TNVRM (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return and Manage) programme. TNVRM is an internationally recognised, humane, and sustainable approach that controls stray animal populations by preventing reproduction, improving public health, and promoting responsible community management, rather than relying on repeated capture and killing.
We sincerely hope that the City Council will listen to the voices of frontline animal welfare organisations and adopt a collaborative, transparent, and responsible approach in developing policies that balance public interests with animal welfare.

Last October, the Ipoh Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA) took a courageous stand in seeking justice after multiple stray dogs were allegedly buried alive by an enforcement authority. We initiated legal proceedings in court, determined to speak on behalf of those who have no voice.
However, while the case was ongoing, our association received a notice from the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in November informing us that our registration had been temporarily suspended due to incomplete annual submissions. Shortly thereafter, our association's bank account was also frozen as a result of the administrative process, forcing us to temporarily withdraw the legal action that had already commenced.
Despite these setbacks, we refused to give up.
Instead, we worked tirelessly to reorganise and complete every required document before resubmitting our records to the Registrar of Societies Headquarters in Putrajaya.
After nearly six months of thorough review, the Registrar of Societies (ROS) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) confirmed that all of our meeting minutes, financial reports, and administrative records fully complied with the required regulations. Our accounts were found to be clear, transparent, and properly managed.
As a result, our association's registration was officially reinstated in June this year, allowing us to resume our operations as a legally registered organisation.
Even more encouraging, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) has approved the renewal of our tax-exempt donation status for another 10 years (2026–2036). This recognition reflects the confidence that government authorities have in our governance, transparency, accountability, and integrity, and reaffirms our commitment to serving the community with honesty and responsibility.
The past year has brought many storms, misunderstandings, and challenges.
Yet we have never lost faith.
We firmly believe that by staying true to our mission, continuing to advocate for animal welfare, and always doing what is right, brighter days will come.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every member, volunteer, donor, supporter, and member of the public who has stood beside us throughout this journey. Your trust, encouragement, and unwavering support have enabled us to overcome every obstacle and continue protecting the lives of animals that cannot speak for themselves.
Our reinstatement is not the end of the journey—it marks a new beginning.
Moving forward, ISPCA will continue to champion animal welfare, promote the TNVRM (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return and Manage) programme, and strengthen our efforts through education, rescue work, and legal advocacy to help build a more compassionate and humane Malaysia.
Because every life deserves to be treated with kindness and respect.

去年十月，怡保防止虐待动物协会为了多只流浪狗遭执法单位(怀疑)活埋事件，毅然站出来寻求司法公义，并向法院提起诉讼，希望为无声的生命发声。
然而，就在诉讼期间，本会于去年十一月接获社团注册局（ROS）通知，因年度文件提交不完整，协会注册被暂时冻结；随后，协会银行户口也因相关程序受到影响而被冻结，导致原本已展开的法律诉讼不得不暂时撤销。
面对重重打击，我们没有选择放弃，而是一步一步整理所有资料，向布城（中央）社团注册局总部重新提呈完整记录。
经过长达半年的审核，社团注册局（ROS）及内政部（KDN）反复查核后，正式确认本协会所有会议记录、财务报告及行政文件均符合规定，账目清晰、运作透明。
因此，本协会于今年六月正式恢复注册，重新取得合法运作资格。
更令人鼓舞的是，本协会也顺利获得马来西亚内陆税收局（LHDN）批准，续延为期十年（2026–2036）的捐款免税资格。这不仅是政府部门对协会行政管理及公信力的肯定，也证明我们始终秉持公开、透明、诚信的原则服务社会。
这一年来，我们经历了许多风浪，也面对了许多误解与挑战。
但我们始终相信，只要坚持初心，坚持为动物福利发声，坚持做正确的事情，就一定能够迎来曙光。
感谢一路以来给予我们信任、支持和鼓励的每一位会员、义工、捐助者及社会大众。正因为有您们，我们才能跨越一道又一道难关，继续守护那些无法为自己发声的生命。
协会重新出发，不是终点，而是新的开始。
未来，我们将继续坚持推动动物福利、推广TNVRM（捕捉、绝育、疫苗、回放及管理）计划，并透过教育、救援及法律行动，为马来西亚建立一个对动物更友善、更文明的社会。
