The last couple weeks have been a whirlwind with our Covid cases increasing and the cases in our hospital becoming even more challenging. Working 13+ hours with only 1 hr to sit and chart.

In this time, I have found myself neglecting my self care and completely focused on my patients. Sleeping more than 12+ hrs on my days off. Not focusing on my nutrition or fitness because I’m so exhausted.

Today I took a course at the hospital and it spoke about self care. The importance about taking care of myself in order to fully care for my patients. Investing in my energy, on my hard days, to replenish my kind, loving, and ever giving soul. Focusing my on nutrition and fitness to make sure that I am fueling my body with the nutrients that will help me recover from my treacherous days. Singing, dancing and listening to music that energized me to be my goofy, crazy self! And most importantly surrounding myself with those who uplift me, promote my mental health and have a positive impact in my life.

Today is a new beginning. To myself, I invest in you. I value you and all you do for me. I cherish your heart and what you do for others. I vow to always put you first even though you put other before yourself. Overall, I love me, keep up the great work ❤️❤️

I have been blessed with my career as a nurse, however to be completely honest and open, with student loans, credit card debt from nursing school, living expenses, on top of trying to save up for a house and living in LA, I STILL LIVE paycheck to paycheck. That being said, it’s not feasible for me to accomplish my goals with only my nursing income. I NEED more….

I NEED more for my future, for my families future, for my kids, for my future husband and most importantly, FOR ME! I have worked my butt off to become a nurse and continue to work my butt off at my job! Yet, I’m still stressing about finances at the end of that day!

The days where I would stress the most and be broke are the days my friends post would show up on Instagram. My friend by the way is bringing in amounts of money that make me slow blink lol. It was fate every single time. I’m my head I kept saying, “it’s too good to be true, I can’t make that much money by helping other women, idk what I would be even doing” however when I reflect on my life, my dreams and the goals I want to accomplish, my gut said, “Kelly, just do it! Why not! Your only going to make more money if you work at it. Why not have multiple incomes”. Soooo……. I jumped!

The money I will be making is only going to open up so many more doors for me and my future family. It will allows me to pay off my credit card debt, and my student loans faster than I could have ever imagined. It will allow me to save up to buy my first home and it will allow me to help other women make their goals come true as well. And most importantly it will create more peace within my life. Financial stress will no longer be keeping me up at night. It will allow me to live a more comfortable and free life!

I am beyond excited for what the future holds and I can’t wait to share more with you soon ❤️
