When I started my business, I honestly didn’t expect it to turn out the way it did. I envisioned small orders, like 50 kilograms of farm produce. My mindset was to start small, and I focused on promoting the business to attract clients.
To my surprise, my first client came in with an order for 500 kilograms of rice. We were nervous about handling such a large quantity, but we delivered successfully. Then another client ordered 400 kilograms of maize, and once again, we met the challenge. Soon after, we received a request for 2.5 tonnes of sugar beans ( to be honest alot happened that I didn't expect), Each success reshaped my perception of what was possible.
In the beginning, I spent a lot of time explaining my business to various individuals, trying to convey how they could profit from it (with the intention of gaining a client or potential investor) . At that time, no one seemed interested in investing. However, I didn’t give up. I held onto my vision for the business and believed in its potential.
By the end of the year, I had the opportunity to meet with several potential investors. This time, the meetings felt different. I was able to present tangible results from my efforts, and the interest was there, because despite everything they were able to witness the progress on their own.
I truly believe that next year will be even better.
