The company is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill the post of Business Development Officer
Position Summary
The position holder will report to the management team and will be the front of the company, having the responsibility and dedication to create and apply effective drive in sustainable financial growth through deposit/investment mobilization and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop a growth strategy focused on both financial gain and customer satisfaction;
• Develop cash and treasury management sales strategy to increase market pe*******on and maximize revenue;
• Source for funds for the operational needs of the company Portfolio at competitive rates in the market;
• Ensure good mixture of funds portfolio at all times for desirable bottom line for the business;
• Ensure adequate deployment of sourced fund to appropriate investment Asset note for profitability at all time;
• Offer financial advices, funds arrangement and documentation of same from time to time;
• Stay abreast with new types of investment and other financial service products in order to better meet customers' needs;
• Evaluate and implement new products as necessary;
• Effectively deliver company's daily, weekly and monthly target through financial intermediation, advisory, investment services;
• Review of investment agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Proven working experience as a business development officer, Sales Executive or relationship officer;
• Excellent Computer Skills in Microsoft Office Packages such as (MS. Word, MS. Excel, MS. Power Point, MS. Access etc
• A strong sense of integrity, Adaptability, commitment, Self-motivated, target and result oriented
• High level of interpersonal, presentation, negation and reporting skills
• Good communication and analytical skills
• Ability to covert prospect to customers and retain same
• Ability to derived strategy for problem solving
Education and Experience
• BSc/ BA in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field, a Masters in Business Administration will be an added advantage;
• At least three years’ experience in business development or relationship management field in a financial institution.
