Diriyalanka Batik Diriyalanka Batik was started in 2007and is made up of a small group of women in Kamburugamuwa Sri Lanka.

The ladies have come together to try and earn some money from selling their hand made batik designs.

Diriyalanka
Batik was started in 2007 . The items are made in a small
house in the Sri Lankan village of Kamburugamuwa. The eight
women working in the studio are poor and come from socially
disadvantaged back grounds. Working at the Batik Studio has
provided these women with work six days per week which not only
provides them with an income but also with greater social networks and
support.
