A moment of thought as you scroll by
Its amazing how much your past can weigh you down when you are unconscious of the fact that you are not your past, but instead you are you in the present.
That does not change the fact that you are made up of your past experiences, and they have a tremendous effect on how you interact with the world and view the present moment.
To assume that your past is of no concern just because you are at a different time in your life, is to assume that your baggage gets dealt with naturally.
Time heals nothing; you heal you with time.
I'm 30 years old and I am still struggling with some limiting beliefs that I seem to have set for myself at such a young age in my life that I never even realised their presence within me. When these behaviors go unnoticed for so long they become a part of you. So much so, that those around you cannot picture a different version of you. They can only see what you show them.
We get to the point where we are comfortable with how we are, even if we know that nothing of what we do brings us joy. Even if we know that most of what we do brings us pain. But the dedication, focus and determination to change can sometimes be too heavy, and uncomfortable.
The first step after understanding your limiting beliefs is to understand that they are not you, they are only a comfortable version of you, and that you alone can decide if you prefer comfort over peace.
Comfort is easy. You never change, you never push yourself past what you thought possible and you never get off your lazy ass.
Peace is serene. It is when you understand yourself and understand that you can be who you choose to be.
Take a deep breath, forgive yourself for everything from the heart, and leap forward into your new existence, the way you want to BE.
Its never too little or too late for anything in life, and if you believe that it is, then you are just blinded by resentment and pain. I am not belittling either one, both are heavy on the heart and mind, and both can leave a person's pride hurt and fragile.
Understand we are all humans, we are all mistakes and lessons, failures and successes, hatred and love.
We are all beautiful.
