surance products and services to meet the needs of the burgeoning Islamic market. The Company offers insurance products and services to meet the needs of developed Islamic eloped market. The Company is distinguished in the market by its comprehensive suite of innovative and professional insurance policies that cover the entire spectrum of insurance. The Company undertakes only Shariah Compliant business and insurance surpluses are distributed in accordance with pre-agreed ratios as per Takaful Agreement. Likewise, surpluses or losses are collectively shared. The Takaful system has a built-in mechanism to counter any overpricing policies of the insurance companies because whatever maybe the premium charge, the surplus will go back to participants in proportion to their contributions. Al-Muthanna declared capital constitutes a major defense line against losses till legal and technical reserves are available.

Moody's assigns Baa3 IFS rating to Al Muthanna Takaful Insurance Company

25 November 2013 -- Moody's Investors Service has today assigned a first-time Baa3 insurance financial strength rating (IFSR) to Al Muthanna Takaful Insurance Company K.S.C. (Closed) ("Al Muthanna"), based in Kuwait.

The rating was assigned with a stable outlook.
