[KOREA SUNDAY NEWS] 다문화 어린이캠프/국민권익위원회/'27 비자정책

JB금융그룹은 연수원(정읍 아우름캠퍼스)에서 다문화가정 어린이의 미래 인재로서의 성장을 돕고 금융의 사회적 가치를 위해 캠프를 열었습니다. 금융경제교육/진로탐색/과학 컨텐츠 강연/토크 콘서트 등 다양한 프로그램이 운영되었습니다.

사업주의 실수로 취업활동 기간을 연장하지 못해 불법체류자가 된 외국인근로자에게 일할 기회를 주어야 한다는 국민권익위원회의 판단이 나왔습니다. 근로자에게 책임이 없는 사유로 고용허가제나 출입국관리제도에 어긋나지 않다는 것입니다.

법무부 출입국/외국인정책본부는 외국인 취업비자 발급 기준을 '허용직종'에서 '산업/숙련/임금' 중심으로 그리고 10종의 E계열 취업비자(E1~E10)도 숙련도에 따라 3종으로 바꾸는 등 내년 상반기 중 제도 변경을 준비하고 있습니다.

[KOREA SUNDAY NEWS] Multicultural Children’s Camp / Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission / ’27 Visa Policy

JB Financial Group held a camp at its training center (Jeongeup Aurum Campus) to support the growth of children from multicultural families as future talents and to promote the social value of finance. Programs included financial and economic education, career exploration, science lectures, and a talk concert.

The Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission ruled that foreign workers who became undocumented due to an employer’s mistake in failing to extend their job-seeking period should be given the opportunity to work. Since the workers were not at fault, the decision stated that this does not violate the employment permit system or immigration regulations.

The Ministry of Justice Immigration & Foreign Policy Bureau is preparing to revise foreign employment visa standards by shifting from “permitted occupations” to criteria focused on industry, skill level, and wages. Additionally, the current ten types of E-series work visas (E1–E10) will be consolidated into three categories based on skill level, with changes expected in the first half of next year.

[주간 금융시장] 원-달러 ↓/금, 비트코인↑

원/달러 환율이 11개월 만에 가장 낮은 수준인 1,385원입니다. 달러지수가 내리고 수출 기업들이 벌어들인 달러를 꾸준히 원화로 환전하면서 달러 공급이 늘어났습니다. 전문가들은 연내 1,350원 대까지 하락할 수 있다고 보고 있습니다.

미국 증시는 미 국채금리 상승 부담에도 실물 경제지표와 기업 실적이 좋게 나오면서 3대 주요 지수가 오르면서 마감했습니다. 한편 채권시장 안정화 정책 영향으로 달러 가치가 내리면서 금과 비트코인이 강하게 오르고 있습니다.

[Weekly Financial Markets] USD/KRW ↓ / Gold, Bitcoin ↑

The won-dollar exchange rate has fallen to ₩1,385 per dollar, the lowest level in 11 months. The decline comes as the U.S. dollar index weakens and export companies steadily convert their dollar earnings into won, increasing dollar supply. Experts believe the rate could drop further, possibly reaching the ₩1,350 range by year-end.

Despite pressure from rising U.S. Treasury yields, strong real economic indicators and solid corporate earnings lifted the three major U.S. stock indices, which all closed higher. Meanwhile, stabilization policies in the bond market have weighed on the dollar’s value, driving sharp gains in both gold and Bitcoin.

[KOREA SUNDAY NEWS] "F-4 인구↑/카자흐스탄/외국인 예금↑"
동포 체류자격(F-4) 통합 시행('26/2월) 6개월 만에 방문취업(H-2) 동포의 54%가 '재외동포' 자격으로 전환되었습니다. 그 결과 '26/1월 55.6만 명이었던 F-4체류자격자는 60.7만 명으로 증가되었습니다.

8. 14.(금) 정부 외국인력정책위원회는 카자흐스탄을 고용허가제 송출국 지정('28년부터 도입)하여 EPS 송출국은 18개 국가가 될 예정입니다. 그리고 건설업 외국인근로자의 현장 간 이동 허용 기준이 낮아지게 됩니다.('26/9월 중 시행)

외국인 고객이 6개 시중은행에 맡긴 예금이 27조원을 넘어서고 있습니다. 외국인 고객 수 790만 명 수준인데 단순 계산으로 1인당 347만 원의 예금을 맡기고 있다고 합니다. 한국의 장기체류 외국인은 215만 명을 넘어서고 있습니다.

"F-4 Population Increasing / Kazakhstan / Foreign Deposits Rising"

Integration of Overseas Koreans (F-4) Residency Status Implemented (Feb 2026) Within six months of implementation, 54% of ethnic Koreans with the Visit and Employment (H-2) visa have converted to the “Overseas Korean” (F-4) status. As a result, the number of F-4 visa holders increased from 556,000 in January 2026 to 607,000.

On August 14 (Fri), the Government’s Foreign Workforce Policy Committee designated Kazakhstan as a new sending country under the Employment Permit System (EPS), to be introduced starting in 2028. This will expand the number of EPS sending countries to 18. In addition, the criteria for allowing foreign construction workers to move between worksites will be eased (effective September 2026).

Foreign customers’ deposits in six major commercial banks have exceeded 27 trillion won. With about 7.9 million foreign customers, this means each holds an average deposit of 3.47 million won. The number of long-term foreign residents in Korea has surpassed 2.15 million.

[주간 금융시장] "환율 이번주 내내 1,410원대"

미국의 생산자/소비자 물가지수가 예상보다 낮게 나오면서 9월에 기준금리를 올리지 않을 것이라는 기대로 달러 가치가 내려갔습니다. 한국 증시에서 외국인들의 주식 순매수, 해외자금 유입, 기업의 달러 매도 등 달러 공급이 수요를 넘어서면서 원/달러 환율은 하향 안정세를 보인 한 주 였습니다.

단기적으로 원/달러 환율은 1,390~1,430원대 박스권에서 움직일 것으로 예상되지만 달러의 수요-공급 요인에 의한 단기적 하락이지 중장기적인 원화 강세 추세로 돌아서는 것은 아니라는 것이 대다수 전문가의 의견입니다.

Due to U.S. producer and consumer price indices coming in lower than expected, expectations grew that the Federal Reserve would not raise interest rates in September, leading to a decline in the value of the dollar. In the Korean stock market, foreign investors’ net purchases of shares, inflows of overseas capital, and companies’ dollar sales caused dollar supply to exceed demand, resulting in a week of downward stability in the won/dollar exchange rate.

In the short term, the won/dollar exchange rate is expected to move within the 1,390–1,430 won range. However, most experts believe this is a temporary decline driven by dollar supply-demand factors, not a shift toward a long-term trend of won appreciation.

[KOREA SUNDAY NEWS] 환율↓/법무부 미래정책포럼/전북 FC

원/달러 환율이 크게 내리고 있습니다. 1,600원대까지 위협하던 환율이 한 달 만에 1,400원대 초까지 내렸습니다. 수출기업의 달러 매도, SK하이닉스 미국 상장 자금의 달러 공급 등 달러의 수요와 공급에 큰 변화가 있기 때문입니다.

법무부 장관은 KAIST 외국인 대학원생 회장(F2-7S비자 ; K-STAR비자 트랙) '미래정책포럼'을 개최했습니다. 장관은 학업-연구-취업과 가족동반 등 정착에 이르는 전 과정이 연결되어야 함을 강조했습니다.

전북은행은 4일 본점 1층 JB스퀘어에서 K리그 전라북도 지역 연고 팀인 전북현대모터스 FC와 팬 사인회를 개최했습니다. 행사에 초청된 전북은행 고객들은 선수들의 사인을 받고 사진 활영을 하는 등 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.

Exchange Rate Falls
The won/dollar exchange rate has dropped significantly. After threatening the 1,600-won level, it has fallen to the low 1,400-won range within just a month. This sharp decline is due to major shifts in dollar demand and supply, such as Korean exporters selling dollars and SK Hynix supplying dollars through its U.S. listing funds.

Future Policy Forum by Ministry of Justice
The Minister of Justice hosted the Future Policy Forum with the president of KAIST’s foreign graduate student association (F2-7S visa; K-STAR visa track). The minister emphasized that the entire process — from study, research, and employment to family settlement — must be seamlessly connected.
