Empower Nakuru celebrates 10 years today!

This organization is a Norwegian-Kenyan initiative and has been involved in many different areas during the last 10 years - football shoes and balls to kids, establishing tailoring shops, opening a hair dressers shop, assisting with buildings and construction for social and religious gatherings in both crowded slums and green and rural areas, expanding agriculture, microfinance and more.

Empower Nakuru is these days pointing out a strategy for the next period, hopefully we can push the world 🌎 in the right direction and be part of a sustainable growth, both for individuals and societies 🙏

We pray for assistance from helpers with big hearts. Gifts are very welcome and we don’t need much to make a change!

Patience is a virtue! Now the roofing of the social centre and church in finally up. There are still remaining needs, if anyone feels to contribute. But at least we are happy to share this great progress.

Dear sisters and brothers! It’s time to share an achievement totally in the spirit of Empower Nakuru. Good people we have historically supported due to their daily efforts to improve the life conditions for those who need it most are now putting into reality one of Empower Nakuru’s visions. In addition to the social work they already do in Nakuru and a few other places in Rift Valley, they are now building a life for many in Kakamega county in western Kenya.

Early this year we got fantastic assistance from Lions club in Hurum to start roofing the main building that serves as social center, church, preschool area and more.

Our friends from Nakuru also improve the facilities, such as toilets, and they keep a few goats and chicken, and do medium scale farming; growing corn, nuts etc.

The roofing has just started, and we need contributions to complete the project.

We also need assistance to complete the irrigation system to avoid being so exposed to dry seasons.

To inform that Empower Nakuru is supporting a new initiative in Nakuru - A project to give youth skills and job training.

The project is called Nakuru Youth Carpentry.

We need donations, and here is different ways to assist:
- We need carpentry tools of all kinds
- We need wooden materials
- We need screws and spikes
- We need funds
