Yesterday, we successfully held the 1st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Farmlife Sacco Society Ltd—a significant milestone in our journey of empowering communities through savings, affordable credit, and financial inclusion.

We are proud to announce that our membership has grown to 836 members, and we continue to welcome more individuals and groups to join our growing family.

We are also grateful to have received an Inclusion Grant under the National Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP), a World Bank-funded initiative. This support will strengthen our member recruitment and onboarding efforts, enabling more farmers, youth, women, and entrepreneurs to access inclusive financial services.

Yesterday we successfully conducted a SACCO members' recruitment drive at Taita Centre Tinet Ward, and the turnout was amazing! Over 30 Common Interest Groups (CIGs), each with 15–25 members, joined us to become part of our growing family and we are just starting!

🌟 FarmLife SACCO’s 1st AGM Success! 🌟

On Friday, 22nd November 2024, we proudly held our 1st Annual General Meeting at Tendwet Chief’s Office. Highlights of the day included elections and the official presentation of our registration certificate by Mr. Kurgat, Chief Officer, Ministry of Co-operatives, Nakuru County, and Mr. Moraya, Sub-County Co-operative Officer.

We were also honored to host Mr. Collins Kipchumba, representing the NAVCDP program funded by the World Bank. During the event, we received an MoU officially outlining FarmLife SACCO’s collaboration with the NAVCDP program.

This partnership is a significant milestone as we work with grassroots community members to promote sustainable farming practices, empower them on the importance of savings and borrowing, and connect them to markets and value addition opportunities.

By the end of next year, we are targeting to recruit over 2,000 farmers into our SACCO, prioritizing marginalized groups, women, and youth to ensure inclusivity and sustainable growth.

We are excited about this collaboration and look forward to creating lasting impacts in our community! 💚🌱
