The Insurance Regulatory Authority hosted the Director General of the Financial Reporting Centre (FRC), Mr. Naphtaly Rono, MBS, during a courtesy call with the Commissioner of Insurance and IRA CEO, Mr. Godfrey Kiptum.

The engagement marked Mr. Rono’s first formal meeting with the insurance sector regulator since assuming office earlier this year and focused on strengthening collaboration in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT).

The discussions emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation in enhancing compliance monitoring, information sharing, risk assessment and enforcement coordination across Kenya’s financial sector.

IRA remains committed to supporting national and international efforts aimed at safeguarding the integrity, transparency and stability of the financial services sector.
