Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Audit Semi-Senior Manager to join our growing team. You will be responsible for managing and performing audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), and firm methodologies. You will also play a key role in mentoring and coaching junior team members, contributing to their professional development.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage audit engagements for assigned clients, ensuring timely completion within budget and to a high standard of quality.
2. Perform risk assessments, develop and implement audit programs, conduct audit procedures, and document findings.
3. Prepare audit working papers, financial statements, and other reports.
4. Identify and communicate potential accounting and internal control issues to clients and management.
5. Coach junior audit team members, providing guidance and training.
6. Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards, auditing regulations, and industry best practices.
7. Maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
8. Contribute to the development and implementation of firm methodology and quality control procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Kenya) or working towards obtaining the qualification.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a mid sized audit firm.
3. Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISAs, and firm methodologies.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong leadership and coaching skills.
7. Commitment to quality and adherence to professional standards.
8. Proficient in MS Office suite and audit software. CaseWare software knowledge will be an added advantage.
