"Placed Under the VAT Special Table?"
Here’s What It Means — and How to Resolve It.
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) uses the VAT Special Table in the iTax system to enhance compliance by limiting certain VAT functions for flagged taxpayers.
🔍 Why You May Be Listed:
***Filed Returns Without Payment for 6 consecutive months.
***Non-compliance with TIMS/eTIMS requirements.
***Failure to File VAT Returns for 6 months or more.
***Nil Returns Filed for Over 6 Months yet claiming input VAT.
***Involvement with Missing Traders or suspected VAT fraud.
⚠️ Consequences:
You cannot file returns or claim input VAT until resolved.

Prepare and submit the following:
***KRA PIN Certificate
***Certificate of Incorporation
***Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
***Bank Statements
Compliance evidence (e.g., proof of eTIMS registration, VAT return amendments)
