We are all constantly faced with risk. There are 3 possible ways to deal with risk.
1. Bear it 100%. 2. Avoid/Minimize it. 3. Transfer it.
Insurance is a risk management tool. It addresses the 3rd way to deal with risk. For a fee (premium), risk is transferred from one party to another.
