Jane Mwikali died last week and it did not make the news. Probably not Covid related but certainly Kibera related, Jane’s demise was a bit premature. Jane ran a barely recognisable retail kiosk on …

Umoja group located at Karanja reaching out to community members at this difficult and most challenging times.
Thanks to all our UK partners and friends for this aid.
We have really tried getting in contact with some local politicians, those who are in power now and those who are aspiring to be but in vain. "Where do these people come from during campaigns giving out free money like dust? We need them now more than ever!"
Anyway thanks to our loyal friends and partners once again.

Walking our talk.
After meeting our members, today we were out paying their businesses a visit.

Some have set up businesses to solve community challenges like selling of water, public toilets and showers even as they earn a living from them. Amazing.

All the businesses we went to are really great and we wish them well as they look forward to expand them.

It's kind of hard in this life and with this economy to make it all alone.
You'll need people around you who can listen, understand and begin a walk with you in terms of business. NEW COMMUNITY KIBERA is exactly here for that.
Glad to have had people registering as new members today.
It was also our joy to see people applying and others re-applying for loans to expand or boost their businesses.
