Shortly after the founding of Konohagakure, shinobi clans began to organize into hidden villages, forming bonds with their land's daimyo. Following this, the Land of Mountains fell under the command of the Sakakibara clan, one of the few non-shinobi families in the land, the leader of whom, became the first daimyo of the Land. During this time, the Shiba clan and the Yūki clan, both native clans t
o the land, concluded a decade of warfare between them, gathering the remaining clans in the land to form a single shinobi force, lead by Tomohiro Yūki. Together with the first daimyo, the clans founded Yamagakure, using the Shiba clan's powerful earth techniques to form the village itself — carving it into the side of Goddessdrop Mountain.
