Evolution as a Trader: From 🎢 Thrill to 😴 Chill
🚀 Phase 1: The Excited Newbie
The moment I decided to become a trader, I imagined myself in front of multiple screens, charts flashing, prices moving in milliseconds—just like in the movies. 🎬💻
So, before even placing my first trade, I did what any serious trader would do—I bought a high-end computer with dual screens. 🖥️🖥️ Now I looked like a pro. Profits should follow, right?
Market opened… and I went BUY! SELL! BUY! SELL! like a DJ at a party. 🎧🎶
MTM was jumping more than my heart rate—📈😃 vs. 📉😱 every few minutes.
Wins? Ego boost. 💪
Losses? Revenge trades. 🔥
Life was exciting, but my capital was draining faster than battery on a 1% charge. 🔋💸
"But wait… isn’t this what traders do?"
📚 Phase 2: The Awakening
After multiple account wipeouts 💀 and sleepless nights, I finally stopped trading and started learning. 📖
Books, trader interviews, and hours of self-reflection later, I realized…
⚠️ Real trading isn’t exciting. It’s boring. 😶
Turns out, professional traders don’t:
❌ Stare at screens all day like zombies 🧟♂️
❌ Chase every tick like a cat chasing a laser pointer 🐱🔴
❌ Trade for the thrill of it 🎢
Instead, they:
✅ Create a solid trading plan 📋
✅ Backtest strategies for hours (not stare at MTM for hours) 📊
✅ Follow the plan without emotion 😐
💡 Phase 3: The Boring Yet Profitable Trader
So, I changed. My trading is now boring, my screen time is less, and guess what? My capital is finally growing. 📈💰
Lesson learned: If trading feels like an action movie, you’re probably doing it wrong. 😅
Have you gone through this phase?
