A word from our Directors
When just retired from my regular job, my first instinct was to find a way to not work again. Six months into retirement and I started missing the buzz of business. Realized inactivity is not something I can endure. Wanted something more fulfilling to do with my days than binge-watching “Scandal.” One option worth considering was pursuing entrepreneurial ideas that I didn’t have time for when kids and career were exhausting all of my energy. After working for 40 years in the banking/financial services sector, decided to go into a business of my own with a trusted partner, my son, Siddharth. Him coming from a printing and packaging engineering background, I had at my disposal his knowledge and my managerial experience to start a company with great conviction.
We wanted to build an enduring company that has a clear mission, vision, uncompromising values, and a shared way of doing something that is unique to it. We learned from companies like Apple, Amazon, Nike and Tesla that there are behaviors and rituals that will change overtime, but what will never change are the values. These values have to be unique to the company. The two or three things that will make AmbiCraft different. We want it to be more than a conventional company that serves its own interests. We want it to find creative ways to give back to the community and help building a better world around. Be a business that can uplift lives around it.

Having a job you love is so important. The way our society is currently structured, we have to spend the greater part of our lives working. For me this entrepreneurial journey is a way to bring joy and passion into all those working hours. I strongly believe in being honest to one’s own self and Ambicraft is an endeavor that speaks for me. I am a Printing and Packaging engineer and I am certain about doing justice to the business with the knowledge and skills I have gathered in this field. The company derives its name from the very elementary aspects of packaging. The basic corrugated board is a fluted sheet sandwiched between “two” flat liner boards. Ambi is a Latin word which means “both”. Craft in English means the skill of making. Yes, not just making but making with skill.
