I have demitted office of Insurance Ombudsman,Kochi after completing my tenure. I was also holding additional charge of Insurance Ombudsman Chennai from May 2016. The assignment as Ombudsman was very satisfying as it gave an opportunity to redress the grievances of insured public who were victims of mis selling and other unhealthy trends in Insurance industry.In the 33 years of service in Income tax Dept i could help the central govt in boosting up Revenue collection although in a small way. If the public were unhappy with me as Income tax official ,the insured public were by and large appreciative as i could solve their problems with insurance Companies.I bow my head before the Almighty for having given me a noble assignment as Insurance ombudsman.i am also grateful to my family for supporting me in this post retirement assignment!Also want to place on record sincere thanks and appreciation to entire TEAMs OMBUDSMAN,KOCHI AND CHENNAI for their unstinted co operation and assistance .The representatives of the insurance companies also deserve to be complimented for their sincere efforts in sorting out the grievances !Best wishes to all!
