Greetings to you in the mighty name of our dear Lord Jesus Christ.
I am very much glad to read your profile and appreciate all your involvement.
Let me brief you about my involvement in the service to build a civil society. I am Bijay Tandi staying in one of district Brajaraj Nagar (Jharsuguda) of Western Odisha, involved in Child Development, Women empowerment activities including evangelism and Church planting ministry work.
After got Evangelism, Social work trainings and 8 years of work experience from Delhi, I came back to my native place and decided to start service for the poor, semi-orphan & orphan village children including villagers for their development.
Extreme poverty, illiteracy, poor health, malnutrition, Increasing in number of neonatal, infant & maternal mortality, lack of awareness, Increasing dropouts rate especially among girls, Increasing in number of orphan due to death of their parents (due to every year flood situation & killer diseases). Above mentions are some big problems and issues facing by the poor villagers of western Odisha.
Most of the interior villagers not even experience unfailing love of our Lord Jesus Christ or unaware about the Good News and life of our Lord Jesus Christ.
All above mention need motivated me to serve the villagers (especially children & their poor parents) of western Odisha. I have started the work with my team under the banner of my organization named Western Odisha Village Development Programs.
The Activities under (Western Odisha Development Programs) I have been involved in –
• Special educational teaching to poor, orphan, semi-orphan children.
• Special educational teaching to dropouts (Non school going & school dropouts) children.
• Nutritional food to poor, orphan, semi-orphan children.
• Nutritional food to under 6 ages children to reduce Number of Malnutrition cases.
• Moral education to children.
• Counseling to adolescent girls, those who are involved in village level cigarette making (child labour).
• Encourage the children to participate in game & sports. (Helping them to practice game & sports).
• Awareness on good health and best hygiene practices.
• Ensure 100% immunization to infants of the target village.
• Evangelism to individuals & groups.
• Prayer and Cell meetings.
• Youth meetings.
• Conducting Sunday Church Services.
• Gifts distribution to poor children & widow’s during Christmas celebration.
Apart from these activities, there are so many activities to be started but due to not having funds to continue the above mention activities and to start new more activities. That’s why by putting faith on our Lord Jesus Christ including more efforts I am trying to get financial support to continue the same.
I would very much thankful to you to be a part of this ministry. In many ways you can help us to continue the services for the poor. We need your prayer support, You can contribute for the same or you can introduce a likeminded individuals or groups who has a same burden for the poor, especially for poor villagers of western Odisha in India.
You or anybody who wants to support for the same are always welcome to visit us or to visit the work which are going on. Also we will be sending you quarterly reports of the activities with activities photographs.
