Lot of good Tax Free bonds on offer now with decent TAX FREE interest rates. HUDCO, IIFCL and now NHB recently. Recommend NHB for long term, like 20 years. It is very high rated at CRISIL AAA (hence will have more capital appreciation in secondary market) and for 20 years tax free interest is at 9.01% on par with AA+ rated company like HUDCO. Its For a shorter term like 10 years HUDCO has higher interest rate.
