Day 1 of GIFT IFIH’s Young Builders’ Program Fintech Hackathon, in glimpses.

The day opened with problem discovery — teams pulling apart the idea they applied with to find out whether the problem underneath it was real. The GIFT IFIH team mentored the founders throughout the sprint, IFSCA introduced the Innovation Sandbox and AWS led a hands-on tools briefing.

One question went around the room: “What are you building?” A few of the answers, in the founders’ own words.

The mentors made the difference — hard questions at the right moment, and more than a few problem statements rewritten on the spot.

Two days, one question: what can you build in 48 hours if the room is right?

The GIFT IFIH Young Builders' Program Fintech Hackathon is live at GIFT City.

Shortlisted teams from across India are here for two days of problem discovery, design thinking, mentorship and solution validation — with sessions from IFSCA on the Innovation Sandbox and a hands-on tools briefing from AWS, our technology partner for the hackathon.

At the end of it, selected teams will be invited to the 8-week Residential Program at GIFT IFIH, beginning 1 September.

41 teams. 105 builders. All under 29.
