GST HAS MADE TAXATION SIMPLER
Odisha's Finance Minister Shashi Bhusan Behera sad this in ADHIKAR organised CONVENTION ON GST.
"It is too early to comment on the implementation of Goods & Services Act,we are in early stage of evaluation as it is just the first fortnight of promulgation of GST Nationally including in Odisha. Though there are some apprehensions in different quarter it has made the Taxation structure simpler", said Shri Shashi Bhusan Behera,Minister,Finance,Government of Odisha.
He further added, it has relieved traders and businessmen from Inspector Raj.
Mr Behera was speaking at the state level Convention on "GST-Understanding and Challenges" which was being organised by ADHIKAR Adhikar India
The first session of the Convention was chaired by Md N Amin,President of Adhikar and Panchanan Kanungo,Former Mini9ster of State for Finance graced as Chief Guest and had Key Note Presentation.
Prominent among the Guests who spoke were Pradip K Biswal,Addl Secretary,Planning& Convergence Dept,Government of Odisha,Dilip Satpathy,Resident Editor,BUSINESS STANDARD and Sudarshan Chhotoray,Sr Journalist placed welcome address. Shri Abdul Safique proposed vote of thank.
