๐ Indiaโs Trade Deficit with China Hits a Record High! ๐ฎ๐ณ๐๐จ๐ณ
In the fiscal year 2024-25, Indiaโs trade deficit with China has reached an all-time high of $99.2 billion.
Hereโs the snapshot:
๐ป Imports from China: $113.5 billion
๐บ Exports to China: $14.2 billion
That means for every $1 India exports to China, weโre importing nearly $8 worth of goods back!
๐ค Why Does This Matter?
A rising trade deficit affects local industries, weakens the rupee, and increases dependency on foreign supply chainsโespecially in electronics, machinery, and critical raw materials.
๐ Key Question:
Can India reduce this gap by promoting Make in India, boosting local manufacturing, and diversifying import sources? Or will this trend continue?
