ToshaliKart: If you can't come home, we will bring essence of your home in Odisha to you in Bangalore..
Being an Odia and Having stayed in Bangalore from few years, there are many times, when I crave for authentic Odia food like Odisha mixture, achara, badi etc . But to my disappointment, I had to wait till I go home in Odisha. So a number of times I wished for those authentic items to be available in Banglore whenever I want.
This lockdown has even aggravated this craving when we are mostly cooking food on our own. So when it comes to cooking by self, it kind of connects to the recipes we enjoyed back home. And so the craving for items like jhal mudhi, ambula rai, badi chura is increasing..
And the other side of coin, are the people with daily jobs, migrant workers, house helps and many more, who have lost their livelihood due this pandemic. So the financial burden on them is huge. The misery they are going through is unimaginable.
So we are planning to bridge these two sides to help each other out.
Toshalikart is a small attempt by Lipsita Panda & Rakesh Mallik, to bring Odisha to your homes in Bangalore and help the needy ones to be financially independent.
